to agreed timescales with responsibility for ensuring all delegated work is
completed on time and to high quality; managing a workforce of 15 at
peak times
Components made for LMP2, F1, GT3 and military
Provide quotes for both internal and external work covering hours and
materials to achieve overall price of components
Responsible for reviewing individual performance on a monthly basis from
monthly financial information (SAGE 200), continually looking to improve
production and review different materials and manufacturing methods to
improve production efficiency and quality
Support the co-ordination for the transition of products from the
R&D/prototype stage to the manufacturing stage

Toyota F1 Team, Cologne
Working on a variety of structural parts for the F1 car. Mainly involved in the

including wishbones, crash structures and front and rear wings.

Worked in Spain on composite components for boats and motorcycles. Majority
of work involved turning parts into patterns for moulding or for making new
patterns.

Worked for Spectre Cars on their roadcar project, advising on all aspects of
Composite manufacture; producing patterns and moulds for prototype bodies.

Set up and ran the composites department. From set up to £1.5M turnover in 2
years.

Competition Composites, Brackley 1994 – 1997
In charge of all manufacturing processes. Mainly F3 and touring car parts from
patternwork to fitted component.
Ypsilon Technology (Yamaha) 1993 – 1994
Worked on bodywork for the F1 engine road car; made all patterns, moulds and
components for the development work on a composite swinging arm for Kenny
Roberts Racing and also on remote crop sprayer rotor blades and wind turbine
blades.
F1 1989 – 1993
Worked on various projects for F1 Teams. Ran a small team building parts from
the previous years car for the first 2 races of the season while the team worked
on the new car. Built whole cars from scratch, making all the patterns, moulds
and components then trimming, fitting and finishing of the car ready for the
track.

In charge of the day to day running of the composite department. Other duties
were to liaise between drawing office and composites to ensure all components
were viable to manufacture, advise on all aspects of pattern and mould
manufacture in order that no problems occurred in the component
manufacturing stage.

Team Lotus Grand Prix, Norfolk 1986 – 1988
Worked on various R&D projects including carbon intercooler pipes and a carbon
sump for the Honda Turbo engined car.
Chassis Builder
Brabham F1 Team, Surrey 1983 - 1986
Employed to build carbon fibre F1 car chassis. Also worked as patternmaker for
the team at start of each season.
