IR Dancey Ltd, (motor show vehicle preparation), Cheltenham 2004 - 2006
Auto quality control, resurfacing and refinishing. Stripping and re-building engine
components for display purposes. Clients included Cummings, Ford, Aston Martin
and Land Rover.
Hard modelling, resurfacing and finishing of cars. Projects included show car,
prototypes and work on Marcos TSO 2 and 3.
Hand production of display cabinets, props, show stands and show marine
equipment (MDF, GRP, Perspex).
COSTA, show vehicle, part modelling, front and rear bumpers, seat frames,
surfacing, colouring of rear lights – resurfacing and painting whole vehicle

City Garage, (Mercedes repair centre), Chichester 1998 - 1999
Repairing and spraying crash repairs and showroom vehicles.
RBPC5, (private collection), Jerudong Park, Brunei Darussalam 1996 -1998
Paintshop Supervisor of specialist paint shop for Sultan of Brunei. Involved in paint
spraying, hand finishing, panel beating and prepping of luxury cars, coaches, boats,
jet skis, motorcycles, helmets, carriages and other items as requested. The paint
shop had a staff of ten skilled and semi-skilled personnel who were mainly Thais and
Malaysians.
Manufacturers included: Pininfarina, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin, AMG,
Porsche.
Principal duties included:
Liaising with automotive and paint manufacturers to ensure satisfactory
quality standards on exterior finishes
On site training of personnel
Use of Kerridge system to schedule labour, parts requirements and update of
vehicle history
Liaison with stores and purchasing to ensure materials ordered and available
as and when required.
RW Masters, (prototype vehicles), Littlehampton 1985 - 1996
Paintshop foreman, day to day duties included responsibility for four staff, liaison with
customers and preparation of quotations. Specialist work included racing cars
(including F1), boats, simulators and restoration involving the use of:
Polyester resins – chopped strand mat
Vinylester resins – chopped strand mat
