2. INTRODUCTION
“Cleanliness is Godliness”. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ or ‘Clean
India Mission’ is an initiative led by the Government of India.
This campaign was launched officially on 145th birth
anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd of October, 2014.,
Mahatma Gandhi had always dreamed to make India physically
and spiritually a clean.

3. INTRODUCTION
Throwing of plastic bags by the roadside only makes our
surroundings dirty and unhygienic. In fact many cleanliness projects
and campaigns( such as “Save environment”, and “Go
Green” “Swachch Bharat Abhiyan”), Swachch Bharat Abhiyan has been
one of them.

4. ELABORATION
Human being is the center of global echo- pollution who is disturbing
the ecological balance to fulfill his/her material comforts which
causes many problems in our day to day life. So, every human being
must keep surroundings clean. A clean and healthy environment
minimizes the stress .It makes us happy and healthy .This will ensure
us not only better lives but also a healthy one.

5. ELABORATION
Cleanliness makes everything beautiful around us . It is important as
it prevents dangerous diseases like Dengue, typhoid, hepatitis.
Adopting a clean environment at homes also helps to save our money
as it protects insects and germs entering your homes.

6. ELABORATION
We have to planting trees and plants around our surroundings as
well as keep us healthy. Cleanliness should be initiated in all the
offices, schools, societies and colleges. Industries must be set up
away from residential areas. Every household generates waste or
garbage.

7. ELABORATION
Now, waste or garbage should not be thrown anywhere, but keep
only in trash bins and must dispose it in proper ways.. Controlling the
use of plastic bags will also help to keep our surroundings clean. One
should use recycled and eco-friendly products such as paper or jute
bags instead of plastic bags.

8. CONCLUSION
The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan aims at bringing behavioral changes in
people and to motivate healthy practices, spreading cleanliness
awareness among people and strengthening the cleanliness systems
in all areas volunteer. Thus, on the whole, people are becoming aware
of the major need to have a good and clean environment. The
awakening of masses in this respect is a main motto of the
programme.I participate as a volunteer
