It is my great pleasure to write this letter of recommendation in support of Daphné Gagnon’s intern application. I
have known Daphné for almost three years. She took my Consumer Behavior (BMK214), Marketing Research
(BMK321) and Happiness Marketing (BMK355) at Bishop’s and her outstanding performance in my classes
made her one of the best marketing students that I’ve taught.
In my classes, Daphné showed strong intellectual abilities. The many questions she was asking confirmed her
great capacity to build links between theoretical concepts and application questions. Aside from her intellectual
abilities, I felt in her a great will to learn and grow. She is a proactive student: her involvement and devotion to
education and to the realm of management are exemplary. I am impressed by how serious she is about pursuing
knowledge.
Through the client-based project that she worked in winter 2016 for my BMK321, she was able to demonstrate
her strong skills in analytical thinking, critical thinking and creative thinking which are essential for a competent
business student. Daphné proved to be a disciplined student, being up to date not only with the class readings
but also with her individual and group assignments. She also demonstrated strong leadership in her group works
which will definitely make her a competent leader in her career. I am also impressed by Daphné’s strong “can-
do” and willing attitude which is precious on a young college student.
In addition, she has been greatly involved on campus with Enactus, a student community that work on
entrepreneurial project, and she started the Marketing Club this year which already has around 30 members.
Meanwhile, Daphné has been working on her business while studying and has started to develop an online
program while establishing a sustainable marketing strategy around branding and positioning as she wants to
keep her business in the future and be a business owner while still having a strong interest for marketing and
possibly do a master in the field.
With her maturity, self-discipline, business skills in addition to a serious attitude towards excellence, I have no
doubt that Daphné Gagnon will be a good intern in your organization.
