Summary
I am a person that is dependable, and will work hard in any situation presented to me. I am currently a student
teacher at an inner city k-8th grade school.This has taught me how to be patient and preform in a variety of
situations.Through this experience, I have also learned to interact with parents,students,and a variety of staff
members.
Highlights
I have an in-depth knowledge of various disabilities including, but not limited to: Autism, Down Syndrome, Fragile-
X, and 1p36 deletion syndrome.
I have worked as a summer camp counselorin Springfield, MO for 2 years and in St. Louis, MO for 2 years.During
these 4 years in the different cities, I was an inclusive counselor.
I have had 12 years of babysitting and/or nanny work with a number of children in varying ages and abilities.
I am very punctual. I make sure I am not only on time, but that I am early to appointments or obligations.
I am a fast learner, and I will ask questions if I don't understand the taskthat I am asked to complete.
I get along with a variety of personalities, and I can work well with people of all ages and genders.
I am extremely organized. I write all of my appointments and other obligations on a calendar at my house as well as
my traveling organizer.
I have undergone a Protecting God's Children class, yearly background checks and TB tests,and have my
fingerprints registered with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Accomplishments
I am fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) as well as Manual Coded English (MCE).
I have volunteered with Team Activities for Special Kids (TASK) for 16 years.
I was presented with the volunteer of the year award from Team Activities with Special Kids (TASK).
I have been on a committee of 5 people to organize a 5-day summer camp from 11am-3pm for children, ages 5-12,
with varying disabilities.
I coached a grade-schoolvolleyball team from the time they were in 3rd grade until they finished 8th grade. I have
been a referee volleyball for both boys and girls, grades 3rd through 8th, for 12 years.

I am required to serve food and drinks to a variety of people with varying personalities and ages.
Substitute Preschool Teacher 09/2013 to Current St. Raphael the Archangel Saint Louis, MO I have
been a substitute teacherin the two different classrooms of preschoolers.I had to make sure that the students were
safe, engaged,and following the schedule planned by the actual classroomteacher. I had to make sure the students
were at lunch, PE, recess,and dismissal at the correct times.
Preschool Teacher 01/2013 to 05/2013 Peapod Learning Center Springfield, MO I was required to
make sure that the students,ages 8 weeks-5 years, were safe and engaged. I was required to create lesson plans and
activities to ensure the students’learning. I worked with a group of 3 teachers to make sure that the students kept on
the scheduled formed at the beginning of the day.We were also required to cook breakfast and lunch for the
students.Each of these meals had each of the food groups,based on the age of the student.
Inclusive Counselor 05/2010 to 09/2012 School Parks Are Reaching Communities Springfield, MO I
worked as an inclusive counselor. This means that I was responsible for children within the camp that had special
needs.My main focus was to make sure that the child was included in what the otherstudents within the camp were
participating in. I was also required to communicate with the parents of the child that I was working with in order to
provide the best summer experience for the child and parents.
Nanny 04/2010 to 05/2013 Kari Bock Springfield, MO I was required to be a nanny 2-3 days a week for two
children. The oldest child had Fragile X. I was required to make sure that each child was safe, fed, had a bath,and
put to bed. The most important part of my job was to make sure that the children were comfortable and happy.
