Experience: I have been working in the IT field for six years. Previous work experience
includes:
MED-SOUTH- IT Department- Job duties consisted of telephone and personal support
for the headquarters with 265 employee workstations, also 26 branch locations not including
Community Health Systems owned facilities. I was partially responsible for the repair of
workstations, printers, telephone and networks. I provided support to employees through use
of remote access applications, telephone and on-site service. I setup the profiles for new
employees in server applications as well as configuration of workstations.
Jackson Paving and Construction- Duties were preparation of road surface prior to
paving (millng crew). I operated: back hoes, Milling machine (screws), Sweepers, Skid Steer,
bobcat.
Self Employed- Computer repair and cable installation: Mostly residential and small
business customers. Job duties included repair of personal computers and laptop computers,
installation of telephone and network systems. Systems include: AVAYA, CYSCO, XBLUE and
miscellaneous network equipment.
Kelly Construction- Duties were to utilize heavy equipment to prepare milled road
surface for overlay. I operated a bobcat and broom.
2. GDH Consulting: Current Employer- I have completed several projects for clients of
GDH. Position- Cable Tech whose duties included but are not limited to: Planning network
installations by studying customer orders, plans, manuals, and technical specifications; Ordering
and gathering equipment, supplies, materials, and tools; assessing installation site; preparing an
installation diagram; Establishing voice and data networks by running, pulling, terminating, and
splicing cables; Installing telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, multiplexors, cable
trays, and alarm and fire-suppression systems, building ironwork and ladder racks; Establishing
connections; Programming features; Establishing connections and integrations; Following
industry standards; Activating remote access tools; Coordinating with contractors; Verifying
service by testing circuits, equipment, and alarms; Identifying, correcting, or escalating
problems; Documenting networks by labeling and routing equipment and cable; Installing and
repairing data communication lines and equipment for computer systems, using hand tools and
test instruments; Reviewing work orders to move, change, install, repair, or remove data

iron; Connecting microcomputer or terminal to data communication lines, using hand tools and
following diagrams and manuals; Disassembling equipment and inspecting and testing wiring to

communication lines to ensure that specifications are met; Using testing instruments for
example, voltmeter and data scope. Enters commands into computer test equipment. Reading
a message on computer screen to verify that data is being transmitted between locations
according to specifications; May also plan layout and installation of data communications
equipment.

Wal-Mart Remodel Oneonta, AL- Assist lead tech with installation of telecom and data
systems installation.

Lowes Media Converter Chassis and Access Point Installation Asst. Lead: This project
required installation of fiber optic switching equipment and fiber cabling. We upgraded the
network from 10/100 to a 10/100/1000. Job duties included: managing a team of three techs
and two electricians, installation of twenty plus access points in specified locations, pulling a
16/2 power to each location and a multimode fiber, testing fiber and copper cabling, installing
Allied/Transition media converters at network device locations, installing power supplies for
access point in MDF locations, penetrating fire walls and fireproofing, Labeling all patch cables
and fiber jumpers/patch panels
3. Wachter Network Services:
Wal-Mart, Jasper AL. Remodel- Job duties included install of all cat5 and fiber cabling
for voice and data systems, installation of switching and routing equipment. Also coordinating
with other contractors and general contractor when necessary to address issues and complete
objectives.
Wal-Mart, HP photo kiosk- Job duties included connection of printer to network and
installation of CISCO 2960 switch. 125-150 Installs completed. This project required 70- 100
hours per week for six weeks. Nationwide
McDonalds Menu Board Installation AT&T Wi-Fi: This project required the installation
of 40” monitors connected to network connected multimedia devices. Job required drilling 4-6
1’ holes through ceramic tile and walls to mount the monitor, mounting the required
equipment to the monitor, also mounting and connecting a switch for AT&T. I also ran CAT5
cabling through ceiling for devices. This job was performed in an open and operating restaurant

Home Depot Site Survey: Survey of 50 locations measuring dimensions and cable
lengths for SCO stations. AZ, CA, NV

Installation of cable to phone locations, 25 pair and 50 pair cable installed, programing phones,
testing cable to required specs, and training staff on use of new system. This project was
completed by one person in five days per store carrying most materials for route and lift in a
7500 24’ box truck. I successfully completed 22 store locations on schedule.
