Underrated and Undervalued Introverts.
Alana Dew, Heather Kerr, Loretta Pickett, Rebecca (Kat) Ross.
As we all reside somewhere on the introvert/extrovert spectrum, it is important to recognize the potential to undervalue and alienate the quieter individuals among us by forcing them to compete as extroverts do. We seek to explore this subject so that we may better understand how best to engage with introverted individuals, inviting their participation without forcing them to comply with methods that are more dominantly suited to extroverts. By embracing and supporting introverts, we can create a more inclusive and diverse society that values and celebrates all personalities and perspectives. This can lead to greater collaboration, understanding, and overall success in various fields and industries.

11. Conclusion
The purpose of our research is to explore the beneficial role introverts play in enriching our society, and how by excluding the less
boisterous among us, we miss out on the unique elements these personality types bring to the table. As we all reside somewhere
upon the introvert/extrovert spectrum, it is important to recognize the potential to undervalue and alienate the quieter individuals
among us by forcing them to compete as extroverts do. It is not uncommon for society to relegate introverts as being too meek to be
capable in the competitive world, however wrong this assumption may be. Research shows that introverts make excellent, if not
often better, leaders due to their ability to step back and allow others to emerge creatively, according to author and speaker Susan
Cain, a leading expert on the topic. We aim to create tangible solutions to an underutilized portion of our community. As we move
forward to putting COVID trauma behind us, we should try as a community to continue to offer platforms that introverts are most
comfortable in. Based on the research we’ve done, we propose a few things to provide a more inclusive community for introverts;
this would include both in person and online options like; small meetup groups, virtual book clubs that may transition into face-to-
face meets, and reflection sessions with individual projects.
Small coffee meetup groups would be centered around different subjects starting with a speaker to allow introverts a chance to
acclimate to the location before having to socialize. Locations would allow for everyone to sit together but not force direct interaction
unless they wish to. Remember, an introvert will let you in once comfortable with you, which is the highest compliment.
