2. WHAT DOES LEADERSHIP MEAN TO YOU
• Is it simply taking charge and telling others
what to do?
• Or is it having meaningful impact & influence
on a person?
• A leader that first comes to mind is my DAD.
• He has shown leadership qualities unlike any
other person.
3. OVERCOMING FEARS
• One story I like to tell is about a trip we
took to Kings Island back when I was
around the age of 5.
• In this circumstance I was forced to go
on the rollercoaster.
• Through this my dad was teaching me to
not be afraid of trying new things.
4. BECOMING A TEAM MEMBER/LEADER
• An example can be seen during my playing of
soccer over the years.
• My dad hardly ever missed one of my games
and told me to try and encourage others on
my team.
• I finally got to show him what I learned from
him when I was voted to be captains on the
team.
5. REACHING YOUR DREAMS
• He always encouraged me to do my
best in school.
• Because of him, I had always dreamt of
going to college ever since I was little.
• He would always take me to athletic
events on college campuses and point
at the students and say, “This will be you
one day.”
6. APPLYING IT TODAY
• His leadership taught me to face my
fears & be a team player/ leader when
needed.
• Most importantly, my dad always
encouraged me to follow my dreams.
• My dad never made a dream seem too
far out of reach and because of that I
am where I am today.
