• Accessory chemical
• Dryene II is a chemical cauterant.
• It is phenol based and used to sear
tissues to dry, and prevent leakage

3. Introfiant DC
• Arterial fluid
• Introfiant is a 30 index formaldehyde-
based arterial fluid used to temporarily
preserve and disinfect tissues
• Features an inactive dye (only minimal
tissue coloration

4. Proflow
• Co-injection fluid
• Used to decrease vascular resistance
• Aids with the removal of clots from the
vascular system
• CAN be used as a vehicle for “waterless”
embalming

5. Metasyn Accelerated
(24 Index)
• Arterial fluid
• Metasyn Accelerated (Metasyn 24) is a
24 index formaldehyde based arterial
fluid used to temporarily preserve and
disinfect tissues
• “Fast acting” reaction with tissues –
accelerated fixation
• Inactive dye

6. Metasyn
(Metasyn 35)
• Arterial fluid
• Metasyn (Metasyn 35) is a 35 index
formaldehyde based arterial fluid used
to temporarily preserve and disinfect
tissues
• “Fast acting” reaction with tissues –
accelerated fixation; more firming than
Metasyn 24
• Inactive dye

7. Permacav 50
• Cavity/accessory fluid
• 50+ index, Phenol-based fluid intended
to preserve on contact with
tissues/viscera
• Not intended to be arterially injected
• Bleaching qualities

8. Plasdo 25
• Arterial fluid
• Plasdo 25 is a 25 index arterial fluid with
added humectants and active dye
• Will color tissues when injected arterially
• Slower fixation rate due to humectants

9. Rectifiant
• Co-injection fluid
• Water corrector/Ph balancer
• Contains NO formaldehyde/phenol
• CAN be used as a vehicle in “waterless”
embalming

10. Restorative
• Co-injection/accessory fluid
• Lanolin-based (animal fats) humectant
• Slows fixation rate of formaldehyde
• Buffers arterial fluids from “burning”
tissues
• Retains moisture in tissues
