Essay on The Influence of My Mother
It took a long time to value the exceptional influence my mother has been on my life. She is the type of person who has thoughtful discussions about
the importance of building a united family. The type of mother who always has time to listen when I need to express my feelings. The type of
benevolent individual who loves to help anyone who is in need. Growing up with such a strong role model, I developed many of her convictions and
interests. I not only came to enjoy the enthusiasm of learning simply for the profit of knowing something new, but I also came to conceive her notion of
contributing with the community in exchange for an excelling sense of life, love, and spirit.
My mother's optimistic attitude is present even in the harder...show more content...
I felt extremely sad and afraid for having to go to an unknown land. As always, my mother was there offering me a shoulder to cry. The day of our
departure, when the site opened at sunrise we were certain to be at each ruin; we were traveling alone waiting for the moment to meet my father in
the American airport. I clearly remember trying to be strong and brave just like my mother. Six years and only four passport stamps later, I have come
to appreciate what I have learned on these journeys about sad feelings, two different cultures, as well as knowing my family and myself better.
While I adore both worlds my mother opened to me, my life has been consequently transformed by what she has shown me. As a new immigrant, my
mother eagerly wished to learn the new language. I frequently accompanied her to take free English classes at a local center with an area for homeless
people. While she attended classes, I assisted with the asylum by playing dominoes with the elders attempting to transmit my high spirit. My mother
promptly encouraged me to keep up with this activity that the circumstances placed in my life. Having finally perfected my strategies in dominoes, I
permanently began my work as a partā€“time volunteer with the old people. In the short, but productive time since I walked through the doors of my
community helping center, I learned not only the idea of giving to others, but also

Narrative Essay On Mothers Love
A Mother's Love My mom has had the greatest impact on my life. She has always taught me to always try my hardest and to treat everyone equally
and with respect. My mom's heart and determination is what I hope to have one day. She always puts anyone before herself. She is the kindness,
most generous woman I have ever met. I can only hope to become like my mom one day. My mom impact my life because of all the different
experiences we have experienced together. The day after Hurricane Harvey hit Houston, my mom and I decided to go out and buy supplies to donate
to the people affected by it. Later that cold day, we went to Walmart and bought toiletries, bottled water, and brand new clothing and shoes. The friendly
cashier with pink hair said,...show more content...
Once they finished talking on the phone, my mom sat down and started bawling. My dad asked my mom, "What's wrong honey?" After that, my mom
started telling us that my greatā€“grandmother just recently passed away. I didn't really know my greatā€“grandmother, but when my mom told me the
horrible news, my heart broke into a thousand pieces because I knew how much my mom loved her grandmother. Later that week, we traveled to
Great Bend for her funeral. It was a very depressing day and all you could see were people weeping, but you could tell they were trying to put a
brave face on. My mom tried her hardest to keep her tears in, but she couldn't, it was just too hard for her. I hugged my mom and told her that
everything was going to be alright and that I love her so much. My mom has her down moments, but she also has those exciting, fun moments. The
week before summer vacation in sixth grade, my mom and I decided to go to Elitch Gardens in Denver, Colorado. The road trip was super fun, but
there was quite a lot of traffic that day. Once we arrived, we bought our tickets and went through security. The metal detector went off on my mom
because she forgot to put her phone in the box. Elitch Gardens was very crowded that day. We couldn't get anywhere without bumping into all the
sweaty people. The lines were super long and all these little kids were fussing about waiting in line. We decided to get on the tallest wooden roller
coaster there,

A Biography On My Mom
I wrote a biography on my mom because she is basically an older and wiser me, but her childhood wasn't exactly as easy. Lashae Damore Bibbins
was born on March fifteenth, 1970 in Los Angeles California at the UCLA Medical Center. She was born on her dad's birthday and unfortunately, the
day her father's best friend died from a car incident. Lashae's parents are Lucille and John Jefferson.
Her first memory was when she was four or three years old in preā€“school called Kimberly Ann in 1973. Lashae says, "I remember they had an ugly red
carpet, and I refused to take a nap till the teacher said "okay just lay down quietly". I used to watch a T.V show called "H.R. Puffin Stuff." There
was a red flute, an ugly green witch and the trees moved and talked." Lashae's mom especially remembers when Lashae would cry every time she
dropped her off, which gave her a headache. As a child Lashae was most afraid of dying. She would think about it all the time and scare herself. She
also remembers the weekends when she was young. "Saturdays were the best because I was able to watch cartoons all morning while drinking hot
chocolate and eating toast with grape jelly. My favorite t.vā€“show to this day was the Brady Bunch."
Lashae had two siblings. Her unreliable older brother, Maurice, who she thought was very weird because he would always lie and steal from their family
and an annoying younger sister, Meme, who at the time lived to make Lashae's life miserable by pretending that Lashae hurt

Becoming a Mom Changed My Life Essay
Two of the greatest days of my life were the days my daughters were born. The first time I held the both of them and gazed into their eyes I felt a
sense of relief and hope. The feeling is a warm tingling sensation that engulfed my entire body. The emotions that I felt are beyond what words can
explain. It's amazing to me that in the first few minutes of their lives they completely changed my perception of the world.
Motherhood has taught me many life lessons. Before becoming a mother, I was a self centered child. I had no motivation to succeed. All I was worried
about was where the next party was. At that time I had no want to try because I was so scared to fail. I was slowly progressing to go nowhere and do
nothing with my life....show more content...
They just want to learn about the world around them. They have inspired me to go out and try new things. Every day they grow a little bit more
independent. As they grow, I grow.
I have learned a lot about success from my daughters. For example, I watched them learn to walk. They weeble, they wobble and fall down. But no
matter how many times they fall, they get up and try again. It has taught me that no matter what obstacles occur, if I just continue to try I can and will
succeed.
My daughters are my motivation to succeed. Each day I work very hard to provide for them. Some days I really just want to give up. I don't want to
be a student, I don't want to work. I just want to quit. But when I think to myself how their faces light up at the sight of me, Mommy. I realize that if I
quit now I'm quitting on them. It is no longer about my wants and needs it is about their wants and needs first.
The greatest reward of being a mother is the love I share with my children. It is like no other. It is pure and unconditional. There is no greater
feeling than when my two year old say "Mommy I love you" or when my ten month old gives me kisses. The love we share is the greatest gift from
God that I have ever received.
In the short time that I have been a mother I have learned many things. I have realized that every day is a learning experience. I have taken the mistakes
that I have made and learned from them. My children have pushed me to strive for

My Relationship With My Mother Essay
My relationship with my mother, Jodi Lynn Borchert, started the day that I was born, February 25, 1995, and it continues to this day even though she
lives in Idaho and I live in Colorado. She is a part of my family which is defined on p. 328 in our books as a "network of people who share their lives
over long periods of time and are bound by marriage, blood, or commitment". Jodi is my biological mother and this makes us family through blood. To
be more specific about my mother is that she is a part of my Nuclear family (p.329), a family consisting of a wife (my mother), husband (my father),
and their biological child (me). All my life my mother has always called me Konis. As stated in our textbook on p. 193, words and phrases that
have unique meanings to a particular relationship, such as pet names or private phrases with special meaning are called personal idioms. Every
time my mom calls me Konis, my mom is using a personal idiom because only the two of us know the personal meaning behind the nick name that
she calls me. Even though we don't know where she came up with the nick name. Since we both live a couple of states away from each other we
both must have regular relationship maintenance (p. 304), meaning that we both make communication and supportive behaviors to sustain a desired
relationship. I do this by making time once a week to call her just to talk about what's going on in her life. She also does this by talking to me one a
week but also finding time to

Parents are one of the most beautiful things that could happen to anyone. They are always there by your side no matter what; they always want the
best for their children. They can be strict and protective, its because they love their kids and they don't want them to get hurt. My parents are special to
me because with all the hard time that they had to have me and my siblings in their life they still fought for us and didn't give up, even after 17 years
of trying. But for me? The greatest of all is my mom. She is the one that I look up too. She is the greatest of all. Simple, funny, strict, protective, but

Growing up in a poor family, my mother must work very hard to earn her living since an early age. Due to shortage of material condition, she herself
has trained an extremely strong will and ability to sedately deal with each difficulty and stand up to move on from her failures. I vividly
remember the calamity poured down on my family when my mother' business went bankrupt. We had to sell our house and leave for another town
to begin from "zero". This critical time made every member in my family really upset. But it was my mother, the persistent and brave women,
strongly stood up and started over again after this great adversity. Each of her failures, her grief, and the way she overcame difficulties to move on
has made an indelible impression in my mind, leaving me with precious lessons about the values of strong wills and indefatigable endeavors to
firmly confront with setbacks and bravely conquer them. There was time when I felt that there was no more hope in life, that I felt very weary and
was about to give up everything. After the constant moving from one place to another and my grades slipping down the drain I was unable to deal
with any small problems and felt embarrassed to meet my relatives and friends. However, that was also the time that I acquired from my mother how
to learn from her mistakes and developed my own set of tools to take more lessons from them to realize the proper meanings of determination.

No matter how hard life gets for me and how chaotic things can become there has always been one person that I can turn to, my mom. She's been a

A Moment With My Mother
Did you ever know a moment that somehow set a course for the rest of your future? That moment for me is when I met my mother. It's funny how I
don't really remember that moment , but it will impact me for the rest of my life. I lerato Scott was born to Martha Bok on September 30,1999 in
Pretoria , South Africa. I weighed in at about 2.6 pounds. Nice and healthy right? I lived with Martha for a short time after my birth, but due to her
Tuberculosis and HIV AIDS she was unable to take care of me. At the time I was around 18 months I was brought to a Place of Safety, but was soon
hospitalized when I started showing signs of TB. Along with TB I was battling herpes and ear infections as well as severe eczema. My eczema was
so bad that it left my skin raw and bleeding. Every body craves that you can think of was cracked and bleeding. My neck , behind my ears , my
armpits. You name it. Now normally at 18 months babies start to crawl around or even begin talking. Due to severe malnourishment I was doing none
of these things. I even had plateaued in my growth at this point.
I often ask my mother how she came to find me or how she even ended up in South Africa . Everytime she tells me she says it was purely a God thing.
Dana Scott was working as a missionary at a place called Bethesda Outreach Ministries when I was placed in her care. Bethesda is an organization that

Personal Essay : Losing My Mother
Losing My Mother I can still remember vividly the day my mother passed away. My mother passed away at a critical point in my life when I was
seventeen years old from a short term illness. She was sick for a week and I remember thinking this could be serious, however, my mother
declined to go to the hospital because of the distance and financial hardship. I had loss my father when I was three years old, so my mother was a
single mother. I have step sisters and brother, but I was not particularly close to them. Losing my mother was a defining moment in my life for it
changed my life irrevocably. I was devastated, but I had to become strong, proactive and it spurred me to choose a new career path. Losing my
mother was very traumatising. She was the only parent I knew since the age of three and the one person I knew I could depend on one hundred
percent. I was in school when one of my cousin came to inform me that I was to return home immediately. In my gut I knew something serious
must have happened to my mother. I do not remember how I got home. When I saw several people crying at my home and nobody was really
make eye contact with me, I just started to cry too and that is when someone told me how sorry they were for my loss. I was in shock for more than
three days. I did not sleep nor eat and I did not shade single tears after the initial outburst. Basically I just wanted to crawl in a corner and never wake
up from the nightmare. However, I had to become an adult and I

My Most Important Mentors In My Life : My Mother
I could say I have many mentors in my life, but my most important mentor is my mom. A mentor to me is someone who critically guides you
through your life decisions and provokes endless learning from their life experiences and wisdom. The only person who meets my idea of a
mentor is my mom. I have known her since birth and have always felt loved and cared by her. She gives me every tool I could possibly need to
succeed through primary school and onto postsecondary schooling. She has always given me words of encouragement, been honest when I am in
the wrong, and has always pushed me to reach my potential. I went to my mom on a Sunday, which is family day in our house. We went out to
lunch with my brother since he was visiting from college, and I got the opportunity to ask my mom about her views on Mitch's and my topics. In
my conversation with my mom we talked about three topics; A meaningful life, Family, and Education. Mitch's first topic was what it means to have
a meaningful life. My mom believes that what it means to have a meaningful life, is that it should not be defined by money or other people's
opinions. But rather it should be defined by your happiness and compassion for the things you do in your everyday life. When discussing Mitch's
second topic, family, my mom believes that the most important thing is that family is there for you to be honest, and to be critical of your decisions
in life. We both agreed they should be supportive of your passions and beliefs,

My First Teacher I Ever Had Was My Mother
My Mother and Literacy
The first teacher I ever had was my mother (Stephanie). From tying my shoes to my ABC's she taught me so many things throughout my life.
Enhancing how literacy fit into my life was one major thing my mom did for me. Similar to the reading Superman and Me by Alexie; we always had
books lying around the house. We would take trips to the library to look for new books and we would attend the summerreading program. My mom
would have me read anything and everything; menus, recipes, street signs, and books. Reading became an everyday thing for me. My mother has had
a monumental impact on my love for literacy. She has shaped and molded the way I view Literacy and how it fit into my life. There were three major
moments in my childhood that I remember where the books she had me read were extremely influential on my stance towards literacy.
Sometime before I started preschool my mother bought a book that had a colossal impact on literacy in my life. I remember my mother coming into
my room at bedtime to read me a new and exciting book. The book had a pink background with a large coconut tree on it, also it had multiā€“color
letters all around the tree I will never forget this line; "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom will there be enough at the top of the coconut tree.". I did the
same as Alexie did with his superman book, how he would read it again and again; at bedtime every night for at least two months my mom would
come into my room and read "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom"

What can one say about their mother? One may talk about her positive and negative characteristics. There are so many great traits I love and admire
about my mom, that it would be difficult and unfair to write about just one. Being strong, generous and optimistic are all some great personality traits,
which my mother possesses.
Ever since I can remember, my mother has been a strong individual. She raised my brother and I financially, emotionally, physically and spiritually
by herself. My mom gave her all, by that I mean, she worked two jobs to make sure her children ate properly and that they had the essential amenities
to grow happily and successfully. Another way she supported us was with love and care. My mom...show more content...

prayer time to me and my brother's attention. My mom instilled As a child, my mother displayed the seriousness of spirituality. In which she expressed
her faith in us at an early age, that prayer time was not the time to make jokes nor to complain about having to partake in it.
One lesson she taught us the most, was how seriousness about our spiritual beliefs could provide us with a substantial, stable and structural lifestyle.
My mother's heart is at its purest when giving. I witnessed my mother chip in and pay for people's rent, car notes, and buying them groceries. Although
my mother's intentions were good, occasionally, her generosity has been taken advantage of. One time a close friend of the family, came to my mother
in desperate need. He asked her to loan him a large amount of money, with the agreement that he would pay back in either monthly or weekly
installments. My mom never did see the money that was due to her. Despite the incident she still gives and encourages others to give, whether is it a
donation, or volunteering your time in your community. My

My Reflection On My Mother Essay
A mother is someone who can take the place of all others but no one can take the place of her. There are many different definitions you could use to
describe your mother. My mother, Pam Krull, fits every one of those. Today I decided to pick the three that I thought was most important to me. I
admire and aspire to be like my mother because of how supportive, how selfless, and how loving she is. My mom has gone through a lot to get where
she is today. I will begin by telling you a little bit about my mom's background. My mom grew up outside of George with her parents, Harris and Bev
Kaster, and her three siblings, Erik, Brad, and Kristy. She attended George High School when they were still Blue Jays. My mom was involved in
a lot of different activities. She was in the play, large group and individual speech, a cheerleader, played the drums in band, was in student council,
secretary of her class, REC club, band, and jazz band. In her free time she hung out with friends and her sister. She had a few jobs growing up also.
She babysat a lot, worked at the library, and the dentist office. My mother also helped teach bible school, catechism, and attended youth group at Hope
Reformed Church. My mother met my dad, Doug Krull when she was a junior in high school. They dated for a while and ended getting married. They
then had three beautiful daughters, Allyssa, Megan, and Rebecca. My mom went to Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, to get her education

Personal Narrative : My Mother And My Mom
After my mother and I have an argument she usually smiles at me and says, it's because we're so much alike that we argue. She reminds me that our
lack of communicating often stirs more trouble than why we were arguing. I used to get upset that my mom didn't set time aside for our family to
spend time together or make us eat together at the dinner table. I was upset because I was comparing our family to my friends' families. I valued those
things and assumed my mom didn't, but I was wrong. My mom had so much on her mind everyday it was breaking her on the inside. Not only had I
wanted my mom to be like my friend's moms, now I had wanted my mom to be different because she was depressed. Bonhoeffer mentions that we
desire images of others that we want, but aren't the true image they bear as Christ's (pg37ā€“38). At first I was puzzled. How is a good image of mine, not
Christ's image for her? I learned that His image is neither right nor wrong, but simply uniquely divine. My mom could have done those things, but her
whole life would have had to be different, and I would never want to change who my mom is.
The few times we did get to spend time together as a family, it wouldn't feel like it. I knew all the relationships between my family members. I was
the one who they told everything to but ask me not to tell anyone. This was a lot of weight on my shoulders because I began caring for everyone
else's relationships; especially my mom's because my brother and sister would argue

From a distance, my mother appears to be an ordinary round woman with an irritable attitude. In public, she projects an image of high maintenance

she tries to keep the conversation short and to the point. "Mom, do you think that I could go to the states and major in computer science?" I asked,

Profile of My Mother
Getting to know my Mom It took me eighteen years to spend some quality time with my mother and discover what an incredible journey she has
had with my brothers and me. She is the kind of person who has always been very involved with all parts of our daily lives. In fact, she was the kind of

early on and they talked incessantly." Of course she winks and grins with these remarks. She was like a second mother to my cousins and loves
them dearly. As much as she is quick to point out the reasons she loved having sons and why they are so easy to raise, there is more to this story. I
can 't count the times she has asked all of us why we need to scratch ourselves all of the time. This is not something females understand. It is not
something males really want or feel they need to explain because it is just what we do. She can laugh about it and enjoyed imitating us and asking if
we would like to see her walking around the house in her underwear scratching or fondling her parts. My mother was less tolerant of another brotherly

and figured eyebrows. Her lips are thick with a sparkle of pink; nose is medium and much defined. Her ears are rounded and neither too large nor too
small, "normal". In general her face is smooth with a bit of wrinkles on her forehead but beautiful still. She is of robust constitution, but with nice
curves....show more content...
On the other hand, she can be occasionally very severe, especially with the topic of education and respect. "Ring,..ring! Yes is this Mrs. Vasquez," it
was the school calling. My mom answered "yes, this is her!" Your child has been talking in class and has not been doing her work lately. My mom
quickly went to the school picked me up and gave me an hour of lecture; she also punished me for one whole month. She told me how she would kick
me out of the house if I didn't start behaving.
Furthermore, I considered her my best friend. Whenever I have a problem I can go talk to her. Although my mommy does not do sport, she is
running the whole day, from the moment she gets up until she goes to bed. She is a working woman, if you don't have anything to do in the house
she will seek something to do. It was summer and I finally got out of school, that same day I got home and I cleaned the whole house so that we
would have anything to do the next day. First thing in the morning my mom waked me up and told me that we had to clean all the windows inside
and outside. However, she helped me cleaned them and it was kind of fun. In addition, I remember that when we came to the US my mom worked
at three jobs; she barely had time for me. At night, overwhelmed by the work, she would grab me in her arms and carried me to her bed. She hugged
me and kissed me while I was asleep so

Influence of My Mother's Strength

  • 1. Essay on The Influence of My Mother It took a long time to value the exceptional influence my mother has been on my life. She is the type of person who has thoughtful discussions about the importance of building a united family. The type of mother who always has time to listen when I need to express my feelings. The type of benevolent individual who loves to help anyone who is in need. Growing up with such a strong role model, I developed many of her convictions and interests. I not only came to enjoy the enthusiasm of learning simply for the profit of knowing something new, but I also came to conceive her notion of contributing with the community in exchange for an excelling sense of life, love, and spirit. My mother's optimistic attitude is present even in the harder...show more content... I felt extremely sad and afraid for having to go to an unknown land. As always, my mother was there offering me a shoulder to cry. The day of our departure, when the site opened at sunrise we were certain to be at each ruin; we were traveling alone waiting for the moment to meet my father in the American airport. I clearly remember trying to be strong and brave just like my mother. Six years and only four passport stamps later, I have come to appreciate what I have learned on these journeys about sad feelings, two different cultures, as well as knowing my family and myself better. While I adore both worlds my mother opened to me, my life has been consequently transformed by what she has shown me. As a new immigrant, my mother eagerly wished to learn the new language. I frequently accompanied her to take free English classes at a local center with an area for homeless people. While she attended classes, I assisted with the asylum by playing dominoes with the elders attempting to transmit my high spirit. My mother promptly encouraged me to keep up with this activity that the circumstances placed in my life. Having finally perfected my strategies in dominoes, I permanently began my work as a partā€“time volunteer with the old people. In the short, but productive time since I walked through the doors of my community helping center, I learned not only the idea of giving to others, but also Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Narrative Essay On Mothers Love A Mother's Love My mom has had the greatest impact on my life. She has always taught me to always try my hardest and to treat everyone equally and with respect. My mom's heart and determination is what I hope to have one day. She always puts anyone before herself. She is the kindness, most generous woman I have ever met. I can only hope to become like my mom one day. My mom impact my life because of all the different experiences we have experienced together. The day after Hurricane Harvey hit Houston, my mom and I decided to go out and buy supplies to donate to the people affected by it. Later that cold day, we went to Walmart and bought toiletries, bottled water, and brand new clothing and shoes. The friendly cashier with pink hair said,...show more content... Once they finished talking on the phone, my mom sat down and started bawling. My dad asked my mom, "What's wrong honey?" After that, my mom started telling us that my greatā€“grandmother just recently passed away. I didn't really know my greatā€“grandmother, but when my mom told me the horrible news, my heart broke into a thousand pieces because I knew how much my mom loved her grandmother. Later that week, we traveled to Great Bend for her funeral. It was a very depressing day and all you could see were people weeping, but you could tell they were trying to put a brave face on. My mom tried her hardest to keep her tears in, but she couldn't, it was just too hard for her. I hugged my mom and told her that everything was going to be alright and that I love her so much. My mom has her down moments, but she also has those exciting, fun moments. The week before summer vacation in sixth grade, my mom and I decided to go to Elitch Gardens in Denver, Colorado. The road trip was super fun, but there was quite a lot of traffic that day. Once we arrived, we bought our tickets and went through security. The metal detector went off on my mom because she forgot to put her phone in the box. Elitch Gardens was very crowded that day. We couldn't get anywhere without bumping into all the sweaty people. The lines were super long and all these little kids were fussing about waiting in line. We decided to get on the tallest wooden roller coaster there, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. A Biography On My Mom I wrote a biography on my mom because she is basically an older and wiser me, but her childhood wasn't exactly as easy. Lashae Damore Bibbins was born on March fifteenth, 1970 in Los Angeles California at the UCLA Medical Center. She was born on her dad's birthday and unfortunately, the day her father's best friend died from a car incident. Lashae's parents are Lucille and John Jefferson. Her first memory was when she was four or three years old in preā€“school called Kimberly Ann in 1973. Lashae says, "I remember they had an ugly red carpet, and I refused to take a nap till the teacher said "okay just lay down quietly". I used to watch a T.V show called "H.R. Puffin Stuff." There was a red flute, an ugly green witch and the trees moved and talked." Lashae's mom especially remembers when Lashae would cry every time she dropped her off, which gave her a headache. As a child Lashae was most afraid of dying. She would think about it all the time and scare herself. She also remembers the weekends when she was young. "Saturdays were the best because I was able to watch cartoons all morning while drinking hot chocolate and eating toast with grape jelly. My favorite t.vā€“show to this day was the Brady Bunch." Lashae had two siblings. Her unreliable older brother, Maurice, who she thought was very weird because he would always lie and steal from their family and an annoying younger sister, Meme, who at the time lived to make Lashae's life miserable by pretending that Lashae hurt Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Becoming a Mom Changed My Life Essay Two of the greatest days of my life were the days my daughters were born. The first time I held the both of them and gazed into their eyes I felt a sense of relief and hope. The feeling is a warm tingling sensation that engulfed my entire body. The emotions that I felt are beyond what words can explain. It's amazing to me that in the first few minutes of their lives they completely changed my perception of the world. Motherhood has taught me many life lessons. Before becoming a mother, I was a self centered child. I had no motivation to succeed. All I was worried about was where the next party was. At that time I had no want to try because I was so scared to fail. I was slowly progressing to go nowhere and do nothing with my life....show more content... They just want to learn about the world around them. They have inspired me to go out and try new things. Every day they grow a little bit more independent. As they grow, I grow. I have learned a lot about success from my daughters. For example, I watched them learn to walk. They weeble, they wobble and fall down. But no matter how many times they fall, they get up and try again. It has taught me that no matter what obstacles occur, if I just continue to try I can and will succeed. My daughters are my motivation to succeed. Each day I work very hard to provide for them. Some days I really just want to give up. I don't want to be a student, I don't want to work. I just want to quit. But when I think to myself how their faces light up at the sight of me, Mommy. I realize that if I quit now I'm quitting on them. It is no longer about my wants and needs it is about their wants and needs first. The greatest reward of being a mother is the love I share with my children. It is like no other. It is pure and unconditional. There is no greater feeling than when my two year old say "Mommy I love you" or when my ten month old gives me kisses. The love we share is the greatest gift from God that I have ever received. In the short time that I have been a mother I have learned many things. I have realized that every day is a learning experience. I have taken the mistakes that I have made and learned from them. My children have pushed me to strive for Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. My Relationship With My Mother Essay My relationship with my mother, Jodi Lynn Borchert, started the day that I was born, February 25, 1995, and it continues to this day even though she lives in Idaho and I live in Colorado. She is a part of my family which is defined on p. 328 in our books as a "network of people who share their lives over long periods of time and are bound by marriage, blood, or commitment". Jodi is my biological mother and this makes us family through blood. To be more specific about my mother is that she is a part of my Nuclear family (p.329), a family consisting of a wife (my mother), husband (my father), and their biological child (me). All my life my mother has always called me Konis. As stated in our textbook on p. 193, words and phrases that have unique meanings to a particular relationship, such as pet names or private phrases with special meaning are called personal idioms. Every time my mom calls me Konis, my mom is using a personal idiom because only the two of us know the personal meaning behind the nick name that she calls me. Even though we don't know where she came up with the nick name. Since we both live a couple of states away from each other we both must have regular relationship maintenance (p. 304), meaning that we both make communication and supportive behaviors to sustain a desired relationship. I do this by making time once a week to call her just to talk about what's going on in her life. She also does this by talking to me one a week but also finding time to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. My Mom: Personal Essay: My Mother Mom AlGhalia AlShehab 0013448 Engl112ā€“11 Parents are one of the most beautiful things that could happen to anyone. They are always there by your side no matter what; they always want the best for their children. They can be strict and protective, its because they love their kids and they don't want them to get hurt. My parents are special to me because with all the hard time that they had to have me and my siblings in their life they still fought for us and didn't give up, even after 17 years of trying. But for me? The greatest of all is my mom. She is the one that I look up too. She is the greatest of all. Simple, funny, strict, protective, but yet she is the best. Knowing her for nineteen years of my life. Since the first day that I met her, it's always my...show more content... She prefers that only god knows what's going on, not even her closest sisters know. I learned from her that keeping your sadness and weakness to yourself, because no one lasts for long not even your childhood buddy. Everyone will find a way to leave you somehow, someday, if not today it could be tomorrow if not tomorrow in a thousand years. It's best to keep your weakness to yourself and yourself only, because humans would attack you using your weakness and they could get to you easily. She also always told me no one is your friend except your mom. She says, "Your mom is your best friend". Your mom is your best friend, sister, and your whole life. She helps you be successful and always wants what's best for you and your future. Mothers choose to go through tough times and rocky roads just to make sure that her off sprigs are in a good shape and are in excellent health. Mothers would kill to see their kids in the best condition. If it means that they should give up on them, they would! • 7. It took me a few years to realize what an extraordinary influence my mother has been on my life. She's the kind of person who always has time for her kids, always interested in learning something new, would sacrifice herself for her family, and is easily the strongest woman in my eyes. Growing up, I know I haven't been the best son in the world but if you were to ask her, she would say otherwise. Looking back, my mom is the most positive and important influence on my life. Growing up in a poor family, my mother must work very hard to earn her living since an early age. Due to shortage of material condition, she herself has trained an extremely strong will and ability to sedately deal with each difficulty and stand up to move on from her failures. I vividly remember the calamity poured down on my family when my mother' business went bankrupt. We had to sell our house and leave for another town to begin from "zero". This critical time made every member in my family really upset. But it was my mother, the persistent and brave women, strongly stood up and started over again after this great adversity. Each of her failures, her grief, and the way she overcame difficulties to move on has made an indelible impression in my mind, leaving me with precious lessons about the values of strong wills and indefatigable endeavors to firmly confront with setbacks and bravely conquer them. There was time when I felt that there was no more hope in life, that I felt very weary and was about to give up everything. After the constant moving from one place to another and my grades slipping down the drain I was unable to deal with any small problems and felt embarrassed to meet my relatives and friends. However, that was also the time that I acquired from my mother how to learn from her mistakes and developed my own set of tools to take more lessons from them to realize the proper meanings of determination. She's been a wealth of advice to call on when I'm clueless and a shoulder to cry on when I'm down. Her compassion for others inspires me to be a better person as does the guidance she has given me over the years. She's not afraid to give me a reality check and to tell me the things I don't want to hear even though I need to. She keeps me grounded and teaches me to appreciate the smaller things in life. My mother is strongā€“willed and stubborn; when she sets her mind to something almost nothing will stop her and what an impossible feat it is to change her mind on something. She is very impatient; when she wants something done she wants it done at this very moment, no later. She is idealistic and she enjoys the simpler things that life has to offer. She loves nature and would love nothing more than to be living in a cabin in the mountains while listening to country music. She does not pay much attention to news happening outside her local area and prefers to focus on what's happening in her immediate area. From my mother I have learned how to be the person that I am today. Through her I have learned the importance of family and that it is paramount to spend time with them while I still have it. Even now I try to spend time with my family when I have the opportunity to. Form her I have learned compassion for those around me and for animals. Even Get more content on HelpWriting.net

It's funny how I don't really remember that moment , but it will impact me for the rest of my life. I lerato Scott was born to Martha Bok on September 30,1999 in Pretoria , South Africa. At the time I was around 18 months I was brought to a Place of Safety, but was soon hospitalized when I started showing signs of TB. Along with TB I was battling herpes and ear infections as well as severe eczema. My eczema was so bad that it left my skin raw and bleeding. Every body craves that you can think of was cracked and bleeding. My neck , behind my ears , my armpits. You name it. Now normally at 18 months babies start to crawl around or even begin talking. Due to severe malnourishment I was doing none of these things. I even had plateaued in my growth at this point. • 10. Personal Essay : Losing My Mother Losing My Mother I can still remember vividly the day my mother passed away. My mother passed away at a critical point in my life when I was seventeen years old from a short term illness. She was sick for a week and I remember thinking this could be serious, however, my mother declined to go to the hospital because of the distance and financial hardship. I had loss my father when I was three years old, so my mother was a single mother. I have step sisters and brother, but I was not particularly close to them. Losing my mother was a defining moment in my life for it changed my life irrevocably. I was devastated, but I had to become strong, proactive and it spurred me to choose a new career path. Losing my mother was very traumatising. She was the only parent I knew since the age of three and the one person I knew I could depend on one hundred percent. I was in school when one of my cousin came to inform me that I was to return home immediately. In my gut I knew something serious must have happened to my mother. I do not remember how I got home. When I saw several people crying at my home and nobody was really make eye contact with me, I just started to cry too and that is when someone told me how sorry they were for my loss. I was in shock for more than three days. I did not sleep nor eat and I did not shade single tears after the initial outburst. • 11. My Most Important Mentors In My Life : My Mother I could say I have many mentors in my life, but my most important mentor is my mom. A mentor to me is someone who critically guides you through your life decisions and provokes endless learning from their life experiences and wisdom. The only person who meets my idea of a mentor is my mom. I have known her since birth and have always felt loved and cared by her. She gives me every tool I could possibly need to succeed through primary school and onto postsecondary schooling. She has always given me words of encouragement, been honest when I am in the wrong, and has always pushed me to reach my potential. I went to my mom on a Sunday, which is family day in our house. We went out to lunch with my brother since he was visiting from college, and I got the opportunity to ask my mom about her views on Mitch's and my topics. In my conversation with my mom we talked about three topics; A meaningful life, Family, and Education. Mitch's first topic was what it means to have a meaningful life. My mom believes that what it means to have a meaningful life, is that it should not be defined by money or other people's opinions. But rather it should be defined by your happiness and compassion for the things you do in your everyday life. When discussing Mitch's second topic, family, my mom believes that the most important thing is that family is there for you to be honest, and to be critical of your decisions in life. We both agreed they should be supportive of your passions and beliefs, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. My First Teacher I Ever Had Was My Mother My Mother and Literacy The first teacher I ever had was my mother (Stephanie). From tying my shoes to my ABC's she taught me so many things throughout my life. Enhancing how literacy fit into my life was one major thing my mom did for me. Similar to the reading Superman and Me by Alexie; we always had books lying around the house. We would take trips to the library to look for new books and we would attend the summerreading program. My mom would have me read anything and everything; menus, recipes, street signs, and books. Reading became an everyday thing for me. My mother has had a monumental impact on my love for literacy. She has shaped and molded the way I view Literacy and how it fit into my life. There were three major moments in my childhood that I remember where the books she had me read were extremely influential on my stance towards literacy. Sometime before I started preschool my mother bought a book that had a colossal impact on literacy in my life. I remember my mother coming into my room at bedtime to read me a new and exciting book. The book had a pink background with a large coconut tree on it, also it had multiā€“color letters all around the tree I will never forget this line; "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom will there be enough at the top of the coconut tree.". I did the same as Alexie did with his superman book, how he would read it again and again; at bedtime every night for at least two months my mom would come into my room and read "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. My Mother Essay What can one say about their mother? One may talk about her positive and negative characteristics. There are so many great traits I love and admire about my mom, that it would be difficult and unfair to write about just one. Being strong, generous and optimistic are all some great personality traits, which my mother possesses. Ever since I can remember, my mother has been a strong individual. She raised my brother and I financially, emotionally, physically and spiritually by herself. My mom gave her all, by that I mean, she worked two jobs to make sure her children ate properly and that they had the essential amenities to grow happily and successfully. My mom instilled As a child, my mother displayed the seriousness of spirituality. In which she expressed her faith in us at an early age, that prayer time was not the time to make jokes nor to complain about having to partake in it. One lesson she taught us the most, was how seriousness about our spiritual beliefs could provide us with a substantial, stable and structural lifestyle. My mother's heart is at its purest when giving. I witnessed my mother chip in and pay for people's rent, car notes, and buying them groceries. Although my mother's intentions were good, occasionally, her generosity has been taken advantage of. One time a close friend of the family, came to my mother in desperate need. He asked her to loan him a large amount of money, with the agreement that he would pay back in either monthly or weekly installments. My mom never did see the money that was due to her. Despite the incident she still gives and encourages others to give, whether is it a donation, or volunteering your time in your community. My Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. My Reflection On My Mother Essay A mother is someone who can take the place of all others but no one can take the place of her. There are many different definitions you could use to describe your mother. My mother, Pam Krull, fits every one of those. Today I decided to pick the three that I thought was most important to me. I admire and aspire to be like my mother because of how supportive, how selfless, and how loving she is. My mom has gone through a lot to get where she is today. I will begin by telling you a little bit about my mom's background. My mom grew up outside of George with her parents, Harris and Bev Kaster, and her three siblings, Erik, Brad, and Kristy. She attended George High School when they were still Blue Jays. My mom was involved in a lot of different activities. She was in the play, large group and individual speech, a cheerleader, played the drums in band, was in student council, secretary of her class, REC club, band, and jazz band. In her free time she hung out with friends and her sister. She had a few jobs growing up also. She babysat a lot, worked at the library, and the dentist office. My mother also helped teach bible school, catechism, and attended youth group at Hope Reformed Church. My mother met my dad, Doug Krull when she was a junior in high school. They dated for a while and ended getting married. They then had three beautiful daughters, Allyssa, Megan, and Rebecca. • 15. Personal Narrative : My Mother And My Mom After my mother and I have an argument she usually smiles at me and says, it's because we're so much alike that we argue. She reminds me that our lack of communicating often stirs more trouble than why we were arguing. I used to get upset that my mom didn't set time aside for our family to spend time together or make us eat together at the dinner table. I was upset because I was comparing our family to my friends' families. I valued those things and assumed my mom didn't, but I was wrong. My mom had so much on her mind everyday it was breaking her on the inside. Not only had I wanted my mom to be like my friend's moms, now I had wanted my mom to be different because she was depressed. Bonhoeffer mentions that we desire images of others that we want, but aren't the true image they bear as Christ's (pg37ā€“38). At first I was puzzled. How is a good image of mine, not Christ's image for her? I learned that His image is neither right nor wrong, but simply uniquely divine. My mom could have done those things, but her whole life would have had to be different, and I would never want to change who my mom is. The few times we did get to spend time together as a family, it wouldn't feel like it. I knew all the relationships between my family members. I was the one who they told everything to but ask me not to tell anyone. This was a lot of weight on my shoulders because I began caring for everyone else's relationships; especially my mom's because my brother and sister would argue Get more content on HelpWriting.net

It was around 11 at night and all one could hear was chirping of crickets and the purr of my cat, Maya. I was sitting there in my mom's lap crying as loudly as possible. My mom, exhausted from all the daily chores was trying to get me to sleep. There was hair all over the place and I was crying and shouting at my mom. That's when we heard the knock. If it had been during the day, we would not be that anxious, but it was almost midnight. My mom and I gazed at each other in awe; there was a moment of silence. Then we heard a second knock. It was louder than before. I looked at my mom, I could see she fear in her eyes too. My mom who was also scared and curious slowly kept me down and...show more content... I had always been very fond and proud of my hair. No matter what others tell me, I would always go infront of my mirror andlook at my hair, and believe me, I had never been unsatisfied by it. I used to wonder what was wrong with these people. I had my hair just like my mother's; half curly and half straight. According to my mom, she got her curly hair from her father and the straight ones from her mom. When I looked in the mirror all I could see was the front part , which was soft and silky. What I could not see and others could see was the curly and rough hair on the hind part that standed perpendicular to my head. Whenever my parents tried to cut my hair I would run and hide somewhere until they gave up the idea. I still remember the time when they tried to cut my hair and I ran away and hid in the storage building for the whole day. I can understand my parents too. I was an energetic little girl. I would make a lot of mess around the house and get my clothes and hair dirty. Now when I live by myself I understand the amount of load my parents had. Things does change a lot when we grow older but as a stubborn little girl back then my only ultimate goal was to convince my parents to let me have a long hair. In the day of the incident my father had tried to chop my hair with his big old scissors. He had even lectured me about how disgusting it would be Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Essay on My Mother From a distance, my mother appears to be an ordinary round woman with an irritable attitude. In public, she projects an image of high maintenance with power and control. When in her usual indecipherable mood, she wears a refined expression as she puts on a pout that reveals her plump cheeks. When we go out, she makes sure that she always has makeā€“up on and a fashionable bag in hand. Sometimes, she'd take a good look at me and say, "You should put on some lipstick and eyeliner! My mother raised me in a similar way that she was raised but not as extreme. Despite her collective stature, my mother seems to have selective hearing in that she does not hear my brother when he curses under his breath. She cannot hear me when I ask her questions that she thinks have an obvious answer or when she is not interested. When she does not want to put effort into talking, she acts like she did not hear or she tries to keep the conversation short and to the point. "Mom, do you think that I could go to the states and major in computer science?" I asked, worried about her reaction. "Why, what's wrong with taking nursing at UOG?" she answered, sounding like she was trying to keep her voice from ascending. "Well, I don't have much of a passion for nursing and I'm really interested in computers." "Your grandmother pushed me to become a nurse and I'm making a higher income than all of our relatives. • 18. Profile of My Mother Getting to know my Mom It took me eighteen years to spend some quality time with my mother and discover what an incredible journey she has had with my brothers and me. She is the kind of person who has always been very involved with all parts of our daily lives. In fact, she was the kind of mother who always had time for her three sons, worked fullā€“time and had time to devote to community projects too. Her energy and enthusiasm for all of these things seemed endless and she always tried to teach the three of us to see the value in the idea of giving back to the community. She was like a second mother to my cousins and loves them dearly. As much as she is quick to point out the reasons she loved having sons and why they are so easy to raise, there is more to this story. I can 't count the times she has asked all of us why we need to scratch ourselves all of the time. This is not something females understand. It is not something males really want or feel they need to explain because it is just what we do. She can laugh about it and enjoyed imitating us and asking if we would like to see her walking around the house in her underwear scratching or fondling her parts. My mother was less tolerant of another brotherly trait ā€“ squabbling. That was another part of our dynamic which just seemed normal to my brothers and me. We just liked to agitate each other. To my mother this was upsetting because she didn 't want anyone hurt and she wanted to make sure we had good relationships in the future. It was not easy for her to get us to engage in conversations about feelings and relationships. Try as she might, we were most often not did not feel her same Get more content on HelpWriting.net
