What platforms are available for classroom instruction?
2. Course Description
With the rapid growth and use of
technology, instructional practice should
include technology integration in the
elementary classroom setting. Teachers will
be introduced to six different platforms:
Nearpod, Flipgrid, Edpuzzle, IXL, Common
Core, and BrainPOP; becoming familiarized,
comparing, and engaging in group
discussions on which platforms are the most
effective for instructional purposes. Teachers
will then choose a platform they would like
to integrate in their instructional practice.

7. Collaboration
• Teachers will discuss:

What programs/platforms are you using right now in your instructional practice?
How familiar are your students with technology (home use/school use)?
Compare technology usage pre-distance learning versus post-distance learning.
Teachers will read the Kappan article Learning upended: How Americans experienced the shift to remote instruction then discuss the how distance learning has shaped education in the last year.
Teachers will become introduced to the six online learning platforms: Nearpod, Flipgrid, Edpuzzle, IXL, Common Core, and BrainPOP, exploring the getting started videos and blogs of each website.

The assessment portion of the lesson:
