 Oversee WSU’s entire Avaya Definity and Cisco Unified Communications Manager telephony network and system
consisting of 4500+ phones, voicemail, and exchange servers as well as phone service to satellite schools: RCTC
Rochester, MN and SE Technical College campuses in Winona and Red Wing MN.
 Oversee the WSU campus-wide network surveillance equipment, including IP and analog cameras, video
management systems (VMS) and digital video recorders (DVR’s).
 Lead large and small scale wiring projects for voice and data systems. Ensure that work performed is professional,
orderly, and installed properly.
 Research and evaluate vendors; write and submit project bids and proposals; coordinate projects with various
departments (construction, maintenance, security, operations)
 Experience installing and maintaining Cisco, Extreme, and other switches and routers
 Troubleshoot complex hardware and software problems
 Designs robust network at WSU with redundant hardware and a disaster recovery plan
