3. Unpredictibility
1
The rapid onset of the global COVID-19 pandemic has
generated unpredictability. Given the unknown variables
of any crisis situation, it is important to further develop
more scenarios and response formulas for escalating
challenges.
A high capacity to effectively manage malfunctions is
needed to minimize the negative impact of
unpredictability. Also to meet priorities and ensure the
continuous delivery of products and services in safe
health. Adaptability and agility matter.
4. We have seen a heterogeneous communication about preventing the
spread of the virus. On the one hand, the classic media, on the other
hand, the social media networks that bring the anxiety of the general
public into the arena of discussions. Public outrage over those believed
to have spread the virus is pouring online. So are all sorts of rumors. In
this context, proactive communication to all stakeholders, based on
factual information, is essential to manage public perception of the crisis,
minimize misinformation and associated panic, and reduce the harmful
impact on the economy and people.

2. COMMUNICATION
5. While the priority remains the health of all, we hear about the challenges of companies and
employees related to the safe resumption of business. Government involvement and the
preparation of a set of economic measures to support companies affected by the COVID-19 crisis
must continue. As resumption to cases of force majeure can still put many employees in
difficulty who could be fired, for some companies this support in the recovery period is essential.
3. STAFF
6. Where customers rely on affected supply chains, the rapid
depletion of inventory levels becomes a significant risk. For
example, in the case of companies in industries already heavily
affected by the crisis, creditors may be concerned about the
future viability of the business. Different potential scenarios
and what they mean for their operations are taken into account
as the geographical spread of the virus has evolved.
4. SUPPLY CHAIN
7. In our experience, the lack of
complete and accurate
information prevents well-
calibrated decisions about the
resources needed to control the
spread of the virus and treat
infected people. Capturing the
right information and checking its
reliability is vital. Reliable
information is the basis for crisis
planning and response and
enables organizations to make
informed decisions.
