Squire Sanders Hires Five New Lawyers in the Columbus
Office
COLUMBUS, Ohio (February 2, 2010) – The Columbus office of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey
L.L.P. is proud to announce the addition of five new lawyers:
• Thad Bzomowski will be in the Corporate Practice Group. He received his Juris Doctor
from Vanderbilt Law School and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration,
majoring in Economics and Finance, from The Ohio State University Fisher College of
Business. He spent this past fall in New York City clerking for The Honorable Judge P.
Kevin Castel, United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. (ZIP:

• Andrew Etter is joining the Environmental, Health & Safety Practice Group. He received
his Juris Doctor, order of the coif, from the University of Cincinnati where he was the
Notes and Comments Editor of the University of Cincinnati Law Review. Andrew
graduated from the College of Wooster, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in
Political Science and Spanish. He resides in German Village with his wife, Ashley, and
their bulldog Gordita. (ZIP: 43206)
• John Fisher will be in the Litigation Practice Group. He received his Juris Doctor, cum
laude, from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law where he was the Managing
Editor of the Ohio State Law Journal. A two-time Buckeye, John also received his
Bachelor of Arts in History, magna cum laude, from Ohio State. This fall, he clerked for
The Honorable Judge Guy L. Reece, II, Franklin County Court of Common Pleas. John
resides in Columbus with his wife Natalie. (ZIP: 43224)
• Jolene Griffith joined the Columbus office as a first–year associate in our Litigation
Practice Group. Jolene received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History,
magna cum laude, from Miami University and Juris Doctor from the University of
Michigan. During law school, she interned for The Honorable Judge Steeh, Eastern
District of Michigan and participated in the Michigan Clinical Law Program. One of the
highlights of her work in the clinical program was assisting in a criminal case that lead to
the Governor of Michigan commuting a prisoner’s sentence and granting an early release.
Jolene resides in Northeast Columbus with her new husband Scott. (ZIP: 48104)
• Troy Sitzmann joined the Columbus office as an associate in the Labor and
Employment Practice Group. He was a member of our 2008 Summer Program. Troy
received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Northern Iowa
and Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from The Ohio State University Moritz College of
Law where he was a member of the Ohio State Law Journal. He resides in Bexley with
his wife, Melissa. (ZIP: 43209)
