Capitalism Essay
By definition, Capitalism is an economic system controlled chiefly by individuals and private companies instead of by the government. In this system,
individuals and companies own and direct most of the resources used to produce goods and services, including land and other natural resources labor,
and "capital". "Capital" includes factories and equipment and sometimes the money used in businesses (Friedman, 5).
Capitalism stresses private economic decisions. People are free to decide how they will earn and spend their income. Companies may choose which
goods and services to produce and how much to charge for them. They also compete with one another to sell products. Nations whose economies are
based on capitalism include the United...show more content...
But even more than that, we commemorate the birth of Americans as free men. At a single stroke, the Declaration of Independence and its ideas set
America free from England, and set Americans free from their own government. The Founding Fathers instituted America's government to protect the
freedom of its citizens, and to secure their rights to "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness."
These rights were created to secure freedom of thought and action for all Americans. Freedom of thought is the freedom of an individual to use his
mind: to educate and inform himself; to make his own judgments; to reach his own conclusions; to set his decisions; to hold his beliefs; to choose the
whole course of his life. Freedom of action is the freedom of an individual to act on his own judgment: to pursue his/her values; to strive for his/her
goals; to work and to keep the product of his/her work; to associate and trade with others; to act for the attainment of his/her inner happiness.
The implementation of individual rights had revolutionary effects. The freedom and progress that followed were unprecedented. Individuals, free from
government interference, pursued their happiness restlessly and produced tremendous amounts of wealth in the process. Individuals took responsibility
for their lives: for their education, their health care, their jobs, their

Losing Someone Essay
Losing Someone The world seems to stand still when you are told. That feeling you have never felt before, of total sadness. You feel faint and
dazed as if you are falling or dreaming. You were told this was going to happen, but you could never be prepared for it. You don't know what to say,
you are totally speechless. You burn up, feel dizzy but no tears will come. You have to get out of there, to escape, runaway anything to make this
feeling fade. You just don't want to believe it had happened after everything. Part of you wants to cry your heart out and the other part wants to hit

four amazing weeks! The last words I said to her was that I loved her and goodnight because she was going to sleep, I'm so glad I got to tell her that
because I wanted her to know. The funeral was the biggest challenge, actually having to say goodbye. So many people were there because she was
such an inspiration, a whole sea of pink, her favourite colour. Thousands of flowers in all shapes and sizes but always pink. It just proved how
special she was to so many people. We all went to the pub she used to work at afterwards and it felt like she was actually there with us which was a
huge comfort. She had wanted us all to get drunk and have a good time so we did as we were told! I have never lost anyone before and being so
close to my age too it was scary. It's still hard now when I see pink or hear her name. The toughest time was when I got my G.C.S.E results and she
wasn't here for me to tell her. I even went to text her which now I've found out is perfectly normal. The whole time she was ill I never thought she

My First Day Of An American School
Topic: My first day in an American school
Specific Purpose: To tell a story about the my experience in the United States school system compare to the Jamaican school system.
Thesis Statement: We should appreciate what we have before we lose it because the grass is not always greener on the other side.
I.Introduction
a.After living in Jamaica for 15 years and 9 months, I went to live with my mother in Central Islip in Long Island New York. It was sad to leave behind
all my friends and my old school, but this would be a fresh start to find new friends and to go to a new school.
b.I was very excited to start my new school after seeing how cool school seemed on TV. The no school uniform, having lockers, walking out of class
when the bell rung even is the teacher is still talking and school buses. School seemed like a dreamland on TV compare to the strict school I was
leaving.
I. Main point 1
a.my school was just a 6 minute walk for my house so I didn't get to experience the school bus ride. My little sister who went to school in America
all her life, helped me map out how to get to my first three classes on a school map they gave me during registration.when I walked through the big
glass doors, my mood went from being excited to nervous. The main hallway was a big circle and you had to walk in one direction during the period
changes. I was overwhelmed by the 100s of kids in the hallway. I was use to outdoor open space door back at my old school with

Provide A One-Paragraph Analysis
Provide a one–paragraph example from your experience or the textbook readings of a manager who executed a legally sound decision. An
experience of a manager who executed a legally sound decision I would say would be when I worked at an after school program. The reason for
this sound decision was because an employee violated several procedures and was late every day. The manager gave the employee many chances by
following the rules by giving the employee a verbal warning. This gives the person the chance to fix the problem and get things right. The following
day the employee was an hour late with no call so the manager had to let him go even though he was an excellent worker. Provide a one–paragraph

My Personal Identity Essay
A person's identity is shaped by many different aspects. Family, culture, friends, personal interests and surrounding environments are all factors that
tend to help shape a person's identity. Some factors may have more of an influence than others and some may not have any influence at all. As a
person grows up in a family, they are influenced by many aspects of their life. Family and culture may influence a person's sense of responsibilities,
ethics and morals, tastes in music, humor and sports, and many other aspects of life. Friends and surrounding environments may influence a person's
taste in clothing, music, speech, and social activities. Personal interests are what truly set individuals apart. An individual is not a puppet...show more

Society has had a limited impact on my lifestyle, mostly because I despise trends. The largest trends I despise are rap and hip–hop and the clothing,
attitudes, and type of speech that that type of 'music' is breeding. I chose to steer away from that crowd, but it may also be because I live my life
off of adrenaline. My high on life is the energy I have when I get my blood pumping, my heart pounding, and my adrenaline raging. Most aspects
of my individuality reflect that very well. I love hard, aggressive music, and also guns, but my passion in life is extreme sports, whether it be on a
dirt bike, a bmx bike, a snowmobile, or a snowboard. I have a strong set of morals and ethics that I have partly adopted from my parents, but some
are also partly my own. My morals mostly consist of karma (being kind, caring, helpful, truthful, and considerate to others), not littering (especially in
nature), respecting nature, keeping a clean and welcoming home, success that is measured with happiness and not possessions, and having strong
family ties. I feel that I am very strongly rounded individual who is going to go far in life. Many people would agree with that, although some people
just think that I am an absolutely crazy person who has a death wish and will not go anywhere but to the hospital or the morgue. Educational
experiences also tend to influence a person's identity. I have not had too many educational

Hunger Games Essay
When children are forced to grow up fast at a young age due to traumatic events, it shapes them into fighters, when faced with life and death a person
would do almost anything to assure survival. This is greatly demonstrated in the book The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins when the main
character Katniss Everdeen's world is shifted upside down when her father dies and when she volunteers as tribute for the Hunger Games. After her
father's death the weight of the world was on Katniss's shoulders, as she had to learn how to provide for, and keep her family alive. Her family
consisted of her mother, who suffered severe depression after the death of her husband, and her younger sister Prim who meant the world to her. She
inherited hunting...show more content...
Lastly, Katniss volunteered to take her sisters place in the hunger games when Prim's name was pulled at the reaping. She could not stand the
thought of her sister being thrown into such an awful situation and she did the only thing she could to save her life. Fighting for others when they
were too weak to fight for themselves was another characteristic that Katniss demonstrated throughout the novel. This was displayed in many cases.
One way in which this was portrayed was when Katniss immediately without giving a thought to the matter decided to enroll herself in the hunger
games in order to ensure Prim's safety as well as to save her the terror of the despicable games. "With one sweep of my arm, I push her behind me. I
volunteer! I gasped. I volunteer as tribute!"(Collins 22). This showed how Katniss stood up for her sister and fought for her when no one else
would, she saved Prim's life and she risked it all for her. Katniss also took care of and risked much for Peeta when he was injured. As soon as it was
announced that two people could win the hunger games if they were from the same district Katniss immediately made it her priority to find Peeta. She
wanted to do everything in her power to assure his survival. When Katniss did find Peeta he was badly injured and she spent much time and effort in
making him better. At one point she even risked her own life to obtain medicine that would

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins Essay
The Hunger Games novel written by Suzanne Collins reflects significant issues in the reality world nowadays which relate to the humanity, the poverty,
the violence,... It describes the issues through the characters and what happens in the story, and the most significant issue occurs throughout the novel
is the gap between rich and poor people. In the beginning of the novel, Suzanne Collins describes clearly the scene of the poverty, the terrible fear of the
12–district's villagers, in contrast to the wealthy of the Capitol's citizens. The inequality of social classes becomes the theme of the novel because of its
relation and the effects to the plots of the story. And the reason, which leads to that issue, is the policies of the dictatorship...show more content...
Children in District 12 have no chances for education and have to work as an adult in order to feed their family. Katniss has to hunt illegally and
even risk her life to get into the forest to find food for her family (Sparknotes, n.d.). Some other villagers are not able to hunt so that means
Katniss's family is luckier than many other families in the same district (Sparknotes, n.d.). When she is in the Capitol, the meal, which she is
having, makes her remember about the basic meal at home. "Chicken and chunks of oranges cooked in a creamy sauce laid on a bed of pearly
white grain, tiny green peas and onions, rolls shaped like flowers, and for dessert, a pudding the color of honey" (Collins, S., 2008, p.79). The
luxurious meal shows the significant different in living standard because of the various dishes in the meal in compare with a usual daily bread in
District 12. "I try to imagine assembling this meal myself back home" (Collins, S., p.79). At home, Katniss has to hunt for food, but here at the
Capitol, people just sit there, wait for the meal is ready to be served.
Besides the gap between the Capitol and District 12, the tesserae is the most recognizable system that reflects the inequality of the people in the same
district. The tributes are picked randomly but it seems like the poor children have more risk than the rich children. Poor children have to put their name
to the reaping

Scientific Theory Essay
Scientific Theory
A scientific theory is a well–substantiated explanation of some aspects of the natural world, based on a body of knowledge that has been repeatedly
confirmed through observation and experiment. Scientist creates scientific theories from hypothesis that have been corroborated through the scientific
method, then gather evidence to test their accuracy. The strength of a scientific theory is related to the diversity of phenomena it can explain, which is
measured by its ability to make falsifiable predictions with respect to the phenomena. Scientific theories are the most reliable, rigorous, and
comprehensive for of scientific knowledge.

cases, theories can unify. Two or more theories can be replaces by a single theory which explains the previous theories as approximations or special

scientific laws and scientific theories are produced from scientific methods through the formation and testing of hypotheses, and can predict the
behavior of the natural world. Both are typically supported by observation and experimental science. However, scientific laws are descriptive accounts
of how nature will behave under certain conditions. Scientific theories are broader in scope, and give overarching explanations of how nature works
and why it exhibits certain characteristics. They are supported by evidence from many different sources, and may contain one or more laws.

I thought myself to respect all people even if i didn't like them but still had aspect them and saw everyone as equal to each other and not have one

Essay about Systems of the Human Body
The human body is very complex. It is like a job. You have to do a million things in one day to make it through the day. The body uses nine systems
to do all of those jobs. They all have separate functions, but some work together. Each system is also made up of organs. There are many ways to care
and protect the systems from the many different problems they can have. There are also many interesting facts about each system.
The nervous system's main function is to coordinate all of the activities in the body. The main organs are the cerebellum, which controls and
coordinates movement. The cerebrum, is the center for conscious thought, learning, and memory. The last main organ is the brain stem. The brain stem

The Uniqueness of Every Person
We live in a world where every single person is unique. We all have something about us that is different. The way we walk, talk, think, write, and
feel. All these things define who we are and what we like. For example some of us are attracted to the opposite sex which is considered normal. While
other are attracted to the same sex which to some people it's not normal, it's a matter of an opinion because it is what someone thinks. Today around the
United States of America gay marriage has been mentioned quietly. Considering gay marriage as being an opinion to some people, even though
people have their own point of view gay marriages should be consider legal. And being different from what others might think is normal shouldn't

2004. And the most recent one New Mexico in December 19, 2013. Being the 17 state to allow it" according to (States). Same sex couples should be
able to celebrate their commitment in the same way as opposite sex couples. It's the same kind of human being living on earth as everyone else. It
doesn't matter if your gay, lesbian, bisexual, or whatever. So same sex couples should have the same benefits as an opposite sex couple. "In June 2007
the Massachusetts legislature defeated a discriminatory, anti– marriage constitutional amendment that had been proposed. The final 151 to 45 votes

preparation before the speech. This is done may times by having your audience fill out an audience analysis form, this will give you the

First you should fall back on all the information you already know. The library and the internet would both be very helpful in researching the
topic. In the library one could use encyclopedias, as well as books on the topic of world hunger. It is possible to use periodicals and magazine
articles from the library too. The web would also be a good source of information. You could use various search engines to find sites on world
hunger, but you must be careful that the sites you visit are viable. An alternative is going to an already established site, such as CNN, and then
search those sites for an article about the topic. 4. When using statistics in your speech you should always make sure that you information is
accurate. You should also make sure not to use too many statistics, or your work will get too bogged down with numbers. You should also make sure
that the statistics you gather are representative of the total number of people in the group. You should always identify the sources of your statistics, to
prove to your audience that your information is accurate. It is also a good idea to explain your statistics and why they are important to you specific
purpose. Also, if statistics are complicated and go to the second or third decimal position you should round them off to the first whole number, so that
it will make your information easier to understand. 5. There are five basic patterns of organizing the main points in your speech.

has with the executive branch is when the creation of new laws or the changes of existing laws are made the executive branch is to issue regulation

The power of the executive branch is vested by the President of the United States. This branch is the largest branch that operates with assistance from

My Definition of Success Essay example
"Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value."

My personal definition would not include "stuff" at all. No one will care (and neither will you) what kind of car your drove or how big your house

Personal success is defined by how content and enjoyable your life is. That is not to say that challenges and disappointments aren't included in this. A

Past, present and future are all important to keep in perspective. Looking back and not having regrets is extremely satisfying. Your current situation and
your contentment with it are also very important, and having goals and milestones to work toward in the future keeps you motivated and keeps life
interesting and challenging.
In this age in which we live, success is generally measured by the amount of money you earn, or the amount of wealth or power or number of
promotions you've accumulated. I find that the older I grow, the more I view the people who are most happy and content with their lives as the most
successful. Rich, poor or in between, they've tended to treat life as a journey, not a final destination. They took that trip when they were 25 even
though they really couldn't afford it, they ordered the $55 bottle of wine with their filet because they knew that even though it was expensive it would
enhance the meal so much more than water would. They took a chance on a start–up company, moved to Europe or Asia and experienced things that
most people only dream about. If they managed to grow wealthy from the experience, so much the better. As long as moderation with most things is
practiced, things won't spin out of control.
Bottom line rules for a successful life:
Always try new things.

Capitalism Essay

  • 1. Capitalism Essay By definition, Capitalism is an economic system controlled chiefly by individuals and private companies instead of by the government. In this system, individuals and companies own and direct most of the resources used to produce goods and services, including land and other natural resources labor, and "capital". "Capital" includes factories and equipment and sometimes the money used in businesses (Friedman, 5). Capitalism stresses private economic decisions. People are free to decide how they will earn and spend their income. Companies may choose which goods and services to produce and how much to charge for them. They also compete with one another to sell products. Nations whose economies are based on capitalism include the United...show more content... But even more than that, we commemorate the birth of Americans as free men. At a single stroke, the Declaration of Independence and its ideas set America free from England, and set Americans free from their own government. The Founding Fathers instituted America's government to protect the freedom of its citizens, and to secure their rights to "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness." These rights were created to secure freedom of thought and action for all Americans. Freedom of thought is the freedom of an individual to use his mind: to educate and inform himself; to make his own judgments; to reach his own conclusions; to set his decisions; to hold his beliefs; to choose the whole course of his life. Freedom of action is the freedom of an individual to act on his own judgment: to pursue his/her values; to strive for his/her goals; to work and to keep the product of his/her work; to associate and trade with others; to act for the attainment of his/her inner happiness. The implementation of individual rights had revolutionary effects. The freedom and progress that followed were unprecedented. Individuals, free from government interference, pursued their happiness restlessly and produced tremendous amounts of wealth in the process. Individuals took responsibility for their lives: for their education, their health care, their jobs, their Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Losing Someone Essay Losing Someone The world seems to stand still when you are told. That feeling you have never felt before, of total sadness. You feel faint and dazed as if you are falling or dreaming. You were told this was going to happen, but you could never be prepared for it. You don't know what to say, you are totally speechless. You burn up, feel dizzy but no tears will come. You have to get out of there, to escape, runaway anything to make this feeling fade. You just don't want to believe it had happened after everything. Part of you wants to cry your heart out and the other part wants to hit something with the anger that raging inside you. Sound familiar? She had taken her last breath and was...show more content... They did exactly say how long she had, but they thought it would be a few days but she even proved them wrong on that. She lived for another four amazing weeks! The last words I said to her was that I loved her and goodnight because she was going to sleep, I'm so glad I got to tell her that because I wanted her to know. The funeral was the biggest challenge, actually having to say goodbye. So many people were there because she was such an inspiration, a whole sea of pink, her favourite colour. Thousands of flowers in all shapes and sizes but always pink. It just proved how special she was to so many people. We all went to the pub she used to work at afterwards and it felt like she was actually there with us which was a huge comfort. She had wanted us all to get drunk and have a good time so we did as we were told! I have never lost anyone before and being so close to my age too it was scary. It's still hard now when I see pink or hear her name. The toughest time was when I got my G.C.S.E results and she wasn't here for me to tell her. I even went to text her which now I've found out is perfectly normal. The whole time she was ill I never thought she was actually leave us because she was such a brave fighter so her not being here is hard to handle. She was never Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. My First Day Of An American School Topic: My first day in an American school Specific Purpose: To tell a story about the my experience in the United States school system compare to the Jamaican school system. Thesis Statement: We should appreciate what we have before we lose it because the grass is not always greener on the other side. I.Introduction a.After living in Jamaica for 15 years and 9 months, I went to live with my mother in Central Islip in Long Island New York. It was sad to leave behind all my friends and my old school, but this would be a fresh start to find new friends and to go to a new school. b.I was very excited to start my new school after seeing how cool school seemed on TV. The no school uniform, having lockers, walking out of class when the bell rung even is the teacher is still talking and school buses. School seemed like a dreamland on TV compare to the strict school I was leaving. I. Main point 1 a.my school was just a 6 minute walk for my house so I didn't get to experience the school bus ride. My little sister who went to school in America all her life, helped me map out how to get to my first three classes on a school map they gave me during registration.when I walked through the big glass doors, my mood went from being excited to nervous. The main hallway was a big circle and you had to walk in one direction during the period changes. I was overwhelmed by the 100s of kids in the hallway. I was use to outdoor open space door back at my old school with Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Provide A One-Paragraph Analysis Provide a one–paragraph example from your experience or the textbook readings of a manager who executed a legally sound decision. An experience of a manager who executed a legally sound decision I would say would be when I worked at an after school program. The reason for this sound decision was because an employee violated several procedures and was late every day. The manager gave the employee many chances by following the rules by giving the employee a verbal warning. This gives the person the chance to fix the problem and get things right. The following day the employee was an hour late with no call so the manager had to let him go even though he was an excellent worker. • 5. My Personal Identity Essay A person's identity is shaped by many different aspects. Family, culture, friends, personal interests and surrounding environments are all factors that tend to help shape a person's identity. Some factors may have more of an influence than others and some may not have any influence at all. As a person grows up in a family, they are influenced by many aspects of their life. Family and culture may influence a person's sense of responsibilities, ethics and morals, tastes in music, humor and sports, and many other aspects of life. Friends and surrounding environments may influence a person's taste in clothing, music, speech, and social activities. Personal interests are what truly set individuals apart. An individual is not a puppet...show more content... Society has had a limited impact on my lifestyle, mostly because I despise trends. The largest trends I despise are rap and hip–hop and the clothing, attitudes, and type of speech that that type of 'music' is breeding. I chose to steer away from that crowd, but it may also be because I live my life off of adrenaline. My high on life is the energy I have when I get my blood pumping, my heart pounding, and my adrenaline raging. Most aspects of my individuality reflect that very well. I love hard, aggressive music, and also guns, but my passion in life is extreme sports, whether it be on a dirt bike, a bmx bike, a snowmobile, or a snowboard. I have a strong set of morals and ethics that I have partly adopted from my parents, but some are also partly my own. My morals mostly consist of karma (being kind, caring, helpful, truthful, and considerate to others), not littering (especially in nature), respecting nature, keeping a clean and welcoming home, success that is measured with happiness and not possessions, and having strong family ties. I feel that I am very strongly rounded individual who is going to go far in life. Many people would agree with that, although some people just think that I am an absolutely crazy person who has a death wish and will not go anywhere but to the hospital or the morgue. Educational experiences also tend to influence a person's identity. I have not had too many educational Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Hunger Games Essay When children are forced to grow up fast at a young age due to traumatic events, it shapes them into fighters, when faced with life and death a person would do almost anything to assure survival. This is greatly demonstrated in the book The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins when the main character Katniss Everdeen's world is shifted upside down when her father dies and when she volunteers as tribute for the Hunger Games. After her father's death the weight of the world was on Katniss's shoulders, as she had to learn how to provide for, and keep her family alive. Her family consisted of her mother, who suffered severe depression after the death of her husband, and her younger sister Prim who meant the world to her. She inherited hunting...show more content... Lastly, Katniss volunteered to take her sisters place in the hunger games when Prim's name was pulled at the reaping. She could not stand the thought of her sister being thrown into such an awful situation and she did the only thing she could to save her life. Fighting for others when they were too weak to fight for themselves was another characteristic that Katniss demonstrated throughout the novel. This was displayed in many cases. One way in which this was portrayed was when Katniss immediately without giving a thought to the matter decided to enroll herself in the hunger games in order to ensure Prim's safety as well as to save her the terror of the despicable games. "With one sweep of my arm, I push her behind me. I volunteer! I gasped. I volunteer as tribute!"(Collins 22). This showed how Katniss stood up for her sister and fought for her when no one else would, she saved Prim's life and she risked it all for her. Katniss also took care of and risked much for Peeta when he was injured. As soon as it was announced that two people could win the hunger games if they were from the same district Katniss immediately made it her priority to find Peeta. She wanted to do everything in her power to assure his survival. When Katniss did find Peeta he was badly injured and she spent much time and effort in making him better. At one point she even risked her own life to obtain medicine that would Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins Essay The Hunger Games novel written by Suzanne Collins reflects significant issues in the reality world nowadays which relate to the humanity, the poverty, the violence,... It describes the issues through the characters and what happens in the story, and the most significant issue occurs throughout the novel is the gap between rich and poor people. In the beginning of the novel, Suzanne Collins describes clearly the scene of the poverty, the terrible fear of the 12–district's villagers, in contrast to the wealthy of the Capitol's citizens. The inequality of social classes becomes the theme of the novel because of its relation and the effects to the plots of the story. And the reason, which leads to that issue, is the policies of the dictatorship...show more content... Children in District 12 have no chances for education and have to work as an adult in order to feed their family. Katniss has to hunt illegally and even risk her life to get into the forest to find food for her family (Sparknotes, n.d.). Some other villagers are not able to hunt so that means Katniss's family is luckier than many other families in the same district (Sparknotes, n.d.). When she is in the Capitol, the meal, which she is having, makes her remember about the basic meal at home. "Chicken and chunks of oranges cooked in a creamy sauce laid on a bed of pearly white grain, tiny green peas and onions, rolls shaped like flowers, and for dessert, a pudding the color of honey" (Collins, S., 2008, p.79). The luxurious meal shows the significant different in living standard because of the various dishes in the meal in compare with a usual daily bread in District 12. "I try to imagine assembling this meal myself back home" (Collins, S., p.79). At home, Katniss has to hunt for food, but here at the Capitol, people just sit there, wait for the meal is ready to be served. Besides the gap between the Capitol and District 12, the tesserae is the most recognizable system that reflects the inequality of the people in the same district. The tributes are picked randomly but it seems like the poor children have more risk than the rich children. Poor children have to put their name to the reaping Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Scientist creates scientific theories from hypothesis that have been corroborated through the scientific method, then gather evidence to test their accuracy. The strength of a scientific theory is related to the diversity of phenomena it can explain, which is measured by its ability to make falsifiable predictions with respect to the phenomena. Scientific theories are the most reliable, rigorous, and comprehensive for of scientific knowledge. (to the belief that "theories" become "laws" over time). In some cases, theories can unify. Two or more theories can be replaces by a single theory which explains the previous theories as approximations or special cases, comparable to the way a theorys is connecting explanation for many confirmed hypotheses: This is reffered to as Unification of Theories. Both scientific laws and scientific theories are produced from scientific methods through the formation and testing of hypotheses, and can predict the behavior of the natural world. Both are typically supported by observation and experimental science. However, scientific laws are descriptive accounts of how nature will behave under certain conditions. Scientific theories are broader in scope, and give overarching explanations of how nature works and why it exhibits certain characteristics. They are supported by evidence from many different sources, and may contain one or more laws. The only problems I encountered when trying to write the essays that were assigned to me by the instructor was finding suitable subject matter to write about. Once I found my topics for my essay, everything else became easier. I knew it was nighttime and the neighbors might complain, but at the moment I didn't care about anything. I enjoy listening to depressing songs specially from Coldplay which gets me in the mood to cry. My eyes began to close so I turned my speaker off as well as the light and I went to sleep. My Definition of Success Essay example "Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value." – Albert Einstein –– My personal definition would not include "stuff" at all. No one will care (and neither will you) what kind of car your drove or how big your house was when you're on your deathbed. Your thoughts will not be about your job, the office or how much money you made. Personal success is defined by how content and enjoyable your life is. That is not to say that challenges and disappointments aren't included in this. Your current situation and your contentment with it are also very important, and having goals and milestones to work toward in the future keeps you motivated and keeps life interesting and challenging. In this age in which we live, success is generally measured by the amount of money you earn, or the amount of wealth or power or number of promotions you've accumulated. I find that the older I grow, the more I view the people who are most happy and content with their lives as the most successful. Rich, poor or in between, they've tended to treat life as a journey, not a final destination. They took that trip when they were 25 even though they really couldn't afford it, they ordered the $55 bottle of wine with their filet because they knew that even though it was expensive it would enhance the meal so much more than water would. They took a chance on a start–up company, moved to Europe or Asia and experienced things that most people only dream about. If they managed to grow wealthy from the experience, so much the better. As long as moderation with most things is practiced, things won't spin out of control. Bottom line rules for a successful life: Always try new things. Listen twice as much as you talk. Travel as much as you can comfortably afford. Faith and family always come first –
