It's hard to think that at one point in a America college was but only a myth for the working class. It wasn't needed. After high it was either the army
or you get a job. But this AMerica is a very different one. Women can work, the draft is no longer andcollege is considered a necessity for survival.
But with that said, controversy surrounds it. As the price of college increase and the "need" for it does the same people find more ways and reasons
to avoid it. In the article, "Even for Cashiers College Pays Off" from The New York Times, it displays the media's backlash on the ideology of college.
Leonhardt writes, " Television, newspapers, and blogs are filled with the case that...show more content...
College is an intimidating feat and I sometimes wonder if I can handle it and it's aftermath. The tuition and student loan debt is a very daunting
thought. Thinking about the fact there is no guarantee in the field that I want and the pay for the lifestyle in want to maintain is terrifying. But
interviewing all these people and reading these articles have given me a slight sense of hope. While reading this article this quote showed
significantly affected me. Leonhardt writes, "Then there are the skeptics themselves, the professors, journalists and other who says college is
overrated. They, of course, have degrees and often spend tens of thousands of dollars sending their children to expensive colleges.". This quote holds
so much truth because the fact that they probably are making tons of money and they have gratifying jobs doing the thing they love all based on the
fact that they went to college. If the they didn't go they probably wouldn't have a chance to persuade people not to. And the fact obvious and blatant
fact that they would never say the same to their kin. So taking that into perspective really influenced my decision to lean towards

Success can be defined in many ways for example, success for your parents can be you graduating and going to college, you striving to be highly
educated or getting that house you've been wanting. Academic success is something that many students want, but also something that many students
are not prepared to really work. Those who are aiming to be successful learn from their mistakes they use them to adapt to different situations. Research
says that living in poverty during early childhood is related to lower levels of academic performance, beginning in kindergarten and extending through
high school, and lower rates of high school completion. Everyone was once a student like you.Everyone struggled even teachers had rough...show more

In the video "Prescribes a healthy take on time" TED talks, the speaker Philip Zimbardo says learning how to manage time is something very
important for students. Learning how to resist temptation can also lead to being successful. It is important to focus on your main goal even if you are
tempted to go out with family, friends, or soul mate but sacrificing that time to study can be very important in the future. You will get rewarded for all
that hard work in the future.
Patience is a key to success you must always be patient. Not always will you be rewarded for the hard work you've put it. Don't think you did a
horrible job on the assignment it takes time to be successful. Bill FitzPatrick, founder of the American Success Institute, a successful person is "strong
when toughness is required and, at the same time, patient when understanding is needed." Don't rush being a successful person it takes time and
determination.
Success can be defined is many ways depending on the person. Anyone can be successful as long as they work hard and are determined to be
successful. It does not matter how rich or poor you are or what school or race you are. Aim for what you want and don't give up. You will face obstacles
here and there, but learn from them and keep moving

Speech On Hard Work
Hard work can be defined as putting a great deal of effort or endurance into anything. Whether you are flipping burgers in McDonalds, teaching
others, or if you are on a team, putting your best foot forward and trying your best can change any scenario or situation into something fantastic. If
you are an individual who wants to move up the ladder, you must be able to put work in to reach that goal. Everyone has a goal in life and
everyone has dreamt of being successful in life. As we grow older our goals may change and grow, while others goals may stay the same or fade
away; due to ones lack of confidence, they do not have the means to reach their goals, they did not work hard enough and unfortunately give up.
However, giving up should not...show more content...
The less amount of effort and work that an individual puts into a duty or task the less amount of respect one may receive, and the outcome and
result may not be held up to your bosses standards, which can lead to you being terrminated from your job. Hardwork is one of the greatest skills
that can advance an individual in his or her life. At times you may feel like you should quit and give up but remember that hard work pays off.
You will never be able to move upward in life and become the successful individual you wish to be. One thing that you should never forget is that
there will be many obstacles that you may face in order to reach your goal. You should never give up hope when you fail or fall short, keep your
head up high and keep on pushing through your journey of success. Remember that failure is normal in life, but not everyone is successful in
reaching their goal. The work that you put in is the work that will get out. If you put a vast amount of effort and interest into something, you are
way more likely to get a good outcome. Something you need to consider when thinking about working hard is how it will benefit you at the end of
the day in whatever you want to persue. Working hard will not be easy, but lets be honest who said life will be easy. In order for things to work in your
favor, you have to go above and beyond in order to accomplish your goals in life. You can't

Hard Work Research Paper
Success literature going back hundreds of years espouses the benefits of hard work. But why is it that some people seem to feel that "hard work"
is a dirty word nowadays? I define "hard work" as work that is challenging. Both hard work and "working hard" (i.e. putting in the time required to
get the job done) are required for success. A problem occurs when people think of challenging work as painful or uncomfortable. Does challenging
work necessarily have to be painful? No, of course not. In fact, a major key to success is to learn to enjoy challenging work AND to enjoy working
hard at it. Why challenging work? Because challenging work, when intelligently chosen, pays off. It's the work that people of lesser character will
avoid. And if...show more content...
Hard work is something you look forward to because you know that it will lead to tremendous growth. And you eventually develop the maturity
and responsibility to understand that certain goals will never just flow into your life; they'll only happen if you act as the driving force to bring
them to fruition. When faced with the prospect of saying to yourself, "If I always avoid hard work, I'll never in my life get to experience X, Y, or
Z," it's a little easier to embrace the benefits of hard work. What will you miss out on? You'll probably never run a marathon, marry the mate of your
dreams, become a multi–millionaire, make a real difference in the world, etc. You'll have to settle for only what going with the flow can provide,
which is mediocrity. You'll basically just take up space and die without really having mattered. The world will be pretty much the same had you
never existed (chaos theory notwithstanding). If you want to achieve some really big and interesting goals, you have to learn to fall in love with hard
work. Hard work makes the difference. It's what separates the children from the mature adults. You can keep living as a child and desperately hoping
that life will always be easy, but then you'll be stuck in a child–like world, working on other people's goals instead of your own, waiting for
opportunities to come to you instead of creating your own, and doing work that in the grand scheme of this world
