Are you a student who wants to be successful? All people can be good successful students, if they
try hard and use self discipline to push them self harder. Being a successful student doesn't mean
you are so smart you get to skip grades, it just means that you get good marks, work well with
others, and don't get held back any grades. If you are a person who wants to keep your life on track,
it takes hard work, determination, and patience.
Being a successful student may involve some of the characteristics such as: organization, time,
studying, and believing you can achieve.

Studying skills will help you be more successful as well, there is also to much studying. To much
studying can cause stress, and dense learning habits, also pushing your self to hard may ruin
learning skills and cause your self to feel bad, or not as intelligent. Study skills for tests, quizzes,
and exams is very important. Evenly spreading out study time will increase memory of the
subjects you learn. Taking frequent breaks will make studying less stressful. Using flash cards,
web sites, computers, or just a pencil and paper are all great ways to study. Having an answer sheet
to refer to, and look over when your done will also help study and learning skills because it can help
you see what you did wrong and need to fix. Having a study group or club before big tests, like
exams or diplomas, will help you have more fun with your friends when studying.
Also study at home with adults to help you. Having friends to study with will increase your
enjoyment of learning, and learning to learn. Doing homework right after you get home from school
is good because you might still remember what to do and what you need to study. Doing
homework in the morning can make it less likely for you to sleep or enjoy your day. If you enjoy
writing or reading a job may be based on writing in a future date, but if you dislike reading you
might want a job such as a doctor.

2. The Path To Success Essay
The path to success There are several qualities to have to be successful in college. These qualities
can range from attending class to going above and beyond what's expected. Success comes from
the journey taken or the path chosen. Success also comes from being prepared. As a student, I
must step up to the challenge and find the path to success along the way. Several ways I define
success is to uphold academic integrity, have the ability to prioritize, and to motivate myself to stay
on top of what needs to be accomplished. Academic integrity holds a great deal of weight. This
includes honesty in the work produced, as well as being able to accomplish the work. Responsibility
in addition plays important factor into integrity. I see...show more content...
Most of my days are long and tiring. By managing my time wisely, I normally get everything I
need for school and my extra circular actives done in a timely fashion. Sometimes it takes not
hanging out with the girls, in order to make sure I get my work done. Even putting in an extra
hour at work helps me manage my time more wisely and keeps me from temptation. Which in
turn forces me to focus more on my school work. Coaching football has always been a passion of
mine. Knowing how restricted my schedule is, I strive to get my boys out of practice on time
everyday. That way I can make it home to get some studying in, before I head into work. Many
people believe success in college is rocket science, but actually it's the exact opposite. College is
set up for students with the most basic high school knowledge to have a chance to excel. It's the
simple things that can make or break a student's college career. Things such as going or not going
to class. No brainer right? Sometimes sleep seems so much better than eight o'clock A.M. math,
but a successful college student has to have the willpower to resist the temptation to not skip out
on class. College is all about learning and not cutting corners, which only will hurt in the end.
Everyday of missed class information will be lost, therefore the lack of understanding will show on
a test or pop quiz. Attendance is a key to success. If I don't go

3. My Success Story Essay
My success to education
Blondie Torres

Concetta Williams
July 18, 2011
Looking back at the past eleven weeks I have grown and learned so much here at Ashford
University. I never thought that I would actually accomplish my educational dreams and be
successful in my life, but I definitely have proved, myself wrong. I love knowing that I am doing
great and I really try to do my best in completing my homework on time, with the occasions of a few
speed bumps along the way.
I decided to return to school to further my education for many important reasons. I have struggled
tremendously in the past with my five children and I wanted to change that life style for good. I am
so very tired of trying to make ends meet and not...show more content...
I decided to just go for it and I am so glad I did because I know now that I have overcome that fear
and I feel as if I can accomplish anything and everything. I can also say that I have matured in
many ways as a mother, first time college student, and being a single mother of five. My kids had
to adjust to the new routine as well. They did not understand at first but eventually they came
around and little by little they gave me the time I needed to study and do homework. I still have to
overcome a few obstacles in order to complete my degree program, just like I had to overcome all
the changes that come with me returning to school.
One of the main obstacles I must achieve here at Ashford University is to listen, learn, and to be
obedient in all the discussions and the assignments asked of me. Last but not least I have to say I
have to overcome all negative feelings I get from time to time to complete all my educational
goals. I need to be prepared mentally and physically for anything that is being asked of me from
my instructors. I feel that I need to keep an open mind as well because I know all the feedback
from classmates and instructors will be of great help in making me a better person and learner.
There are a few things I must do to overcome all these certain obstacles here in college in order to
have a successful completion of my degree.
I will have to keep doing all these helpful strategies that have gotten me this far. For example, using

4. My Definition of Success Essay example
"Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value."
– Albert Einstein ––
My personal definition would not include "stuff" at all. No one will care (and neither will you)
what kind of car your drove or how big your house was when you're on your deathbed. Your
thoughts will not be about your job, the office or how much money you made.
Personal success is defined by how content and enjoyable your life is. That is not to say that
challenges and disappointments aren't included in this. A rich, eventful and challenging life doing
what you enjoy and positively affecting others seems to me to be just about right. Find a job you
love and you'll never work another day in your life. I know I won't. In my...show more content...
Past, present and future are all important to keep in perspective. Looking back and not having regrets
is extremely satisfying. Your current situation and your contentment with it are also very important,
and having goals and milestones to work toward in the future keeps you motivated and keeps life
interesting and challenging.
In this age in which we live, success is generally measured by the amount of money you earn, or
the amount of wealth or power or number of promotions you've accumulated. I find that the older I
grow, the more I view the people who are most happy and content with their lives as the most
successful. Rich, poor or in between, they've tended to treat life as a journey, not a final destination.
They took that trip when they were 25 even though they really couldn't afford it, they ordered the
$55 bottle of wine with their filet because they knew that even though it was expensive it would
enhance the meal so much more than water would. They took a chance on a start–up company,
moved to Europe or Asia and experienced things that most people only dream about. If they managed
to grow wealthy from the experience, so much the better. As long as moderation with most things is
practiced, things won't spin out of control.
Bottom line rules for a successful life:
Always try new things.
Listen twice as much as you talk.
Travel as much as you can comfortably afford.
Faith and family always come first –

5. My Success In My Life
Life for me was always as a failure. Too ignorant to be smart and too negligent to show my
potential. My life was beginning to dry up as it left me stranded with no hope. I was rotting away
under my own weight. But someone came into my life and she taught me the strength to lift
myself up. As time grew with her in my life, my passion to succeed and overcome emerged. My
dearest friend gave me the motivation to educate myself, to help me get a greater understand of my
future, as well as making me step outside my comfort zone. With all she has done and inspired me
to do, she is my greatest role model.
The first reason she has impact me, was giving me a reason to want to educate myself. Me and her
were different in our own prospective, I was the dumb failure who lacked the motivation to succeed
in higher education while she was the A honor roll in everything student, in fact she got the most
awards in her class year then everyone else. While attending her award ceremony, all I heard for
each student was, "Congrats *blank* *blank* you received the attendance award for not missing any
school." Then she came on stage, not receiving the attendance award, but fulfilling A honor roll,
JROTC leadership, Best English student, and more, that I could not comprehend. This lead the
audience to all applause loudly and cheer, cherishing her for all she did, even if it was just for that
moment. Before this, I did not understand the possibility of why someone would put themselves
through the
