✔ Positive, popular school
✔ Full to capacity
✔ 5 mixed age classes – adjusted to give the younger ages the smaller numbers
✔ Teachers well supported by teaching assistants and volunteer parent helpers – all DBS checked
Main staff changes over the year:
➔ Head retired after over 20 years in the school, following on from the retirement of 2 other long
serving teachers
➔ Deputy was appointed as new head
➔ New deputy appointed
➔ 2 new young teachers settling in
➔ Administrator moved on to full time work – new administrator appointed
School coped well with all these changes, supported by the governors. Everyone was
very disappointed with the results of the OFSTED inspection and report - the governors
and staff have everything in place to improve rapidly. The local authority has been very
supportive. Parents have been kept fully informed and are fully behind the school.
