training; Organizing classes for individual soldiers to create a unit comprised of people with complimenting and
varying skillsets.
 Information Systems Operator deployed to Afghanistan: Flown to remote valley base to setup a secure,
reliable internet and voice communication to Afghan and US forces (despite very little training).
 Network Manager: Regularly chosen for high profile and essential duties; Signing authority and responsibility
for more than one million dollars’ worth of equipment; Created tracking sheets and load plans, handed off
equipment with no loss trained and provided leadership for new soldiers.
Played a key role in network operations during a training exercise in South Korea and in setting up network
communications for new Headquarters and Operations buildings; Implemented system for generating user
accounts more efficiently; Most awarded soldier of the mission.
Set up trunking nodes among multiple network segments, drastically reducing network outages.
