2. • Provided technical support for over 10 bank and government clients independently.
• Collaborated with field engineers to open WIFI hotspots and troubleshoot the related problems.
• Wrote and managed test plan documentation and troubleshooting documentation.
• Slashed the troubleshooting time by 20% through efficiently collaborating with customer service
and engineering staff.
• Maintained active communication with clients and participated in project bidding.
PROJECTS
FTP Daemons: (https://github.com/macrobit/FTP) Aug. 2014 – Nov. 2014
Advised by Dr. Hussein Badr
The Daemons supported file transfer between client end and server end.
Used UDP sockets to simulate TCP communication between clients and servers in Unix.
• Implemented ARQ sliding-windows, flow control, and congestion control functionalities with C.
Network Research and Analysis Mar. 2014 – May 2014
Utilized Emulab environment and NS script to emulate a dumb bell network.
Each node ran a Linux system.
Configured and ran RIP on each nodes, analyze the data communication between nodes.
Researched the relationship between cache size and network traffic.
Implementing nftables in Android goldfish 3.10 kernel: April 2014
• nftables is a better replacement of Linux firewall tool Xtables.
• Ported nftables (both kernel modules and user-space utilities) from Linux v3.13 kernel to
Android goldfish 3.10 kernel by adding and modifying the nftables module from one to the
other.
• Utilized nftables to manipulate the destination and source fields of matched packets.
Metropolitan Area NGN Network: May 2010 – Aug.2013
As a member of 10 team, based on the original Metro Data Communication Network, designed
and accomplished an upgrade to NGN Network which could provide multi-media services.
Used IS-IS, OSPF, BGP protocols to build a stable and robust double plane carrier network.
Configured and maintained DHCP pools and RADIUS on BRAS equipment.
Police Department Network Upgrade Project: Sep.2009 – Nov. 2009
Upgraded the network connecting over 30 local police stations to police department to support
multi-service integration that includes VOIP, web conferencing and data access.
Installed, configured and maintained voice gateways and gatekeepers using H.323 and H.245.
City Hall Networking Project: May 2008 – Sep.2009
Independently designed and implemented the networking topology for a new city hall.
Cut over the connections between city hall and 9 county halls.
Utilized VRRP and MSTP protocols to realize routers backup and load balancing.
The 11th
National Games Technical Support: Oct. 2009
