Unit 2,3 Task 4 and 6.
Media Studies By Ilya, Aaron
The Devil's Playground
•Plan
Setting: Classroom, The school but make it an asylum. Budget-£60
Characters Jamel , Makarov, Tyrone , Paul.
Duration: 9-13 minutes.
Target Audience: 14-16 year olds, teenagers.
Message: Enforce the message to the teengaers safety around strangers.
The Devil’s Playground
Cody’s Idea: It begins with Aaron (Tyrone) messaging a person that he
thinks is a girl when it’s truly his teacher. He has a class with his Teacher
in an awkward way that makes Aaron (Tyrone) and the Audience feel
uncomfortable then it ends. His leaving class and then he gets confronted
by the teacher once again that helps him up (teacher is stalking him) He
gets confronted once again in the toilet before the end of school in an
awkward way. Next day aaron is hanging around enjoying life, but you
see it from the teacher’s POV because his stalking him and ends up
coming from behind him saying his name and stabbing him in the heart
and it ends. We chose Idea 1
The Devil’s Playground
Ilya’s Idea 2 Idea : My idea of our presentation is about 4 students that know
each other from school and it is the last day of school, they all decide to meet
each other outside of school on the weekend but one by one they suddenly
vanish in thin air. The last one to go has to figure out how to rescue them from
whatever is taking them.
The Devil's Playground
Devil’s
Playground
Devil’s Playground Cody’s Idea 3
Cody 2nd idea -They was a boy talking to someone online but he didn't ever really speak about it to his friends only
mentioned it a couple times but they didn't take much notice but then the boy went missing when he was 15 year old that is
now 17 present day that has been for 2 years people just think they died but then they come back to their house like
nothing happened everyone is asking questions of where he have been his 3 friends are hanging with him he seems normal
until they mention how he got lost then he blacks out and he wakes up in his friend bed with his 3 friends around him he
gets up and runs out the house to his the friends ask and he shares what happened he says he was taken by a man that
was not normal he would take his blood for a unknown reason the guy escaped the place he was captive in but found he
didn't know where he was he said it looked like an abandoned place really run down no life living there then he decided to
walk out the place to find a person to speak to he later found a guy with a car that guy gave him a hitch hike then he asked
where he was and the guy said ukraine but the teenager is from uk so he wondered how he was kidnapped from uk then
traveled to ukraine, that's the mystery a couple days pass and he is settling into home again but then he starts acting
strange starts to get sick and vomit his mom is getting worried what's going on he starts chanting words that are latin like
satanic words he then passes out at the end it links up that the guy that took him was using his blood for satanic rituals and
that infected the boy the boy gets possessed and dies because any film where someone is possessed they always live. The
setting will be a rough area but not that rough so it will give an edge on the audience and will give out tension.
Setting
We could use barkingside as a place to film when the boy comes back from being
missing, the other scene is go on google find an abandoned place near
barkingside to film the scene in.
The Devil’s Playground
Mood
The idea of our horror movie is a one we made up what it would be is a sad dark
toned movie because that's how horror movies should be no bright colours
because that shows it's a good mood when it's meant to be a place where people
are sad that their son/friend went missing then maybe you could just add a bit
more colour when he comes back to show there's like some happiness and that
they got him bad but then goes downhill from there
Legal Issues
A legal issue would be filming in a private property that would be perfect for the
film but getting the legal permission to film, like using a abandoned place
sometimes it's illegal to be on old properties like that but will not be needed
most likely.
The Devil’s
Playground
Evaluation
Pros The pros our idea is one of a kind and it has
the typical elements of a horror genre. The Typical
elements of horror is Blood, Gory Darkness and
Low Key Lighting.
Cons The Cons would be that we would need a
place to film it in so if it’s a private place we would
have to get permission from the owner to use it as a
filming ground.
Synopsis
The Synopsis means a brief summary of a subject.
we choose idea 1 and 3, because we want to make it a twist message and it has a
more in depth idea and sounds like the perfect horror movie.
Our Plan
You must now plan, design and undertake the following pre-production
documentation: i. Production schedule ii. Budget iii. Script iv. Storyboard v. Site
plan(s) vi. Risk assessment(s) vii. Location release form(s) viii. Talent release
form(s) ix. Call sheet(s) REMEMBER to hold weekly meetings during the pre-
production process, recording the discussions via minutes.
Production Schedule
Our production schedule will be by out timetable, when we have media, we
might do some filming on the weekends when we don’t have school so we can
film in an open environment and have no distractions and school won't be noisy.
We will also use some of our days to edit our filming, we will also maybe get
actors, anything we can get done in lessons, it always changes. or
Production Schedule
Monday - In media lesson we film, we will do scenes go back look over them evaluate them and if they
don’t seem good enough we will do them again.

scene between the killer (Ilya) and the victim (Aaron) while kai will film and cody will arrange the props.

Budget
Budget: £80
The Budget will mainly go towards costumes and props, like costumes such as a
mask, a toy gun or melee weapon. Also props such as tape to make the scene
look more haunting, We will make a lot of things ourselves without using any of
our budget, the budget will mostly go towards some advertising but mainly
towards good props and costumes. We might use some of the money as well to
get some other actors and buy them like £3-5.
Location
The location is set in Barkingside/Kantor King Solomon High School.
We have chosen our school king solomon high school as our filming location
since it's the easiest to film in and is perfect for our scenes and ideas.
