3. Genre of film
Genre- Horror/ Thriller
• It’s a sub-genre
4. Film influences
Narrative- the story of Adeline is based around the same
concept as Annabelle. We took the idea of having a doll
being our main focus.
Iconography- the doll is one of the things we took from
previous films, also looking at the use of the colour red
connects with danger and fear. The fonts that we’ve
looked at show the type of film that we are producing
and looking at.
5. Marketing influence
Campaign ideas: Annabelle, they have a Facebook page to help get the
movie recognized and people knowing about the film, they also have a
teaser trailer.
How campaign will unfold: we will put out the teaser trailer(YouTube, social
networking sites.) first and then once it gets closer to the time of the movie
coming out and the actual trailer is released put up posters and once the film
comes out we would start distributing magazines.
USPs: We are using the character to hook and grabs peoples attention. Also
the fact that its jumpy our audience will like that.
6. Potential Target Audience + Why
• Teaser ideas:
• Genre is thriller/Horror
• Settings we are having is the woods, house.
• The different shots that a teen is baby sitting for a family, there are different shots of the doll in the
house and in the woods, chasing the baby sitter in the woods.
• The key visual aspect I the doll.
• Sounds we are having, voice over of the parents telling the baby sitter bye. Screaming, baby crying,
microwave sound(baby bottle being heated up). Wind blowing, trees rustling, foot steps.
• Characters
• baby sister
• Parents
• Baby
• Doll
7. Poster ideas
• The poster will have a dark horror feel to it.
• The style of the font is scary and has a horror feel to it.
• The view point is the doll(only character on the poster),
there are trees and brunches as the background.
8. Magazine Cover Ideas
• For our magazine we are going to have the woods and the
doll poking her head round from the tree trunk.
• The magazine is going to look dark and the colour scheme
is going to be black, white and red. These are the typical
colours that connect with thriller/horror. The style of the
font is going to be the same as the font for out Poster so
that there is a connection with the theme.
• The font is called face your fears.
