- 1. Fluid Power Society (NSW) Inc. The Organisation for Fluid Power and Motion Control Professionals Wednesday 7th September 2016 Dear Sir/Madam, RE: Introduction Fluid Power Society (NSW) Inc. Welcome members and future members to a new era in the Fluid Power Society of New South Wales (FPSNSW). Over several months a number of our industry people along with the assistance of the Australian Fluid Power Society (AFPS) have re-constituted the NSW chapter of the previous society with a new constitution and in order to align with the current chapters of Victoria and Western Australia. So as of the 14th July 2016 the FPSNSW has been registered and a committee has been elected by the current forming members. They are as follows:- President – Paul Husquin – Bosch Rexroth Vice President – Ian Allen – Parkes Hydraulic Services Secretary – Clint Barefoot – K One Fluid Power Treasurer – Ian Atkin – Lisant Training Group Committee Members – Deon Cilliers – Donaldson Filtration Bernie Harper – New England Hydraulics Aaron Ryland – Bosch Rexroth This re-organisation has been undertaken as the first step to a larger plan that our industry can be recognised across the country as one industry with the same goals and rules without state boarders. As a member of the FPSNSW it is envisaged that our meetings and gatherings will have an informative and technical nature and be conducted at various institutes where possible, as we are also endeavouring to have a greater level of involvement from academia who will also provide guidance on training and qualification registration. From this new era the committee has stated that all members are to be qualified and graded on experience level for those whose level of expertise is not that deemed by the committee will be encourage to become so qualified. This assessing has yet to be finalised. This new idea comes from the greater desire to have a common recognition across the country and this can only be achieved if all parties have the same respective goal. We as a newly re-constituted group must and will be seen as compliant to all the current statues and regulations, so please do not let the weight of compliance be a heavy burden rather see it as an opportunity to make our industry and the FPSNSW in particular a strong and vibrant group that can and should have influence on our industry as a whole.
