Field Service Engineer Intern – On-site customer support, service, and mine planning of surface miner
machines in several states. Operations included tar sands, gypsum, limestone, iron ore, coal, and
overburden. Responsibilities included hydraulic and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, mine
floor planning and production studies for contract validation.
Rod’s Garage, Independence, KY Sept 2010 – Aug 2012
Mechanic – Assisted head mechanic with various projects. Performed general maintenance on cars,
trucks and forklifts. Duties included installing new brake pads, oil changes and refurbishing forklifts.
AWARDS: Eagle Scout: Highest Rank achievable in the Boy Scouts of America; consists of Leadership and Merit
Badge Requirements and an extensive Service Project benefiting the community. The project plan had
to be reviewed by a local engineering firm consultant before any physical work could begin. The entire
process lasted about 5 months from start to finish.
