EDUCATION
Clemson University, Clemson, SC May 2017
Master of Science in Civil Engineering GPA: 3.44/4.00
Vasavi College of Engineering, Hyderabad, INDIA July 2015
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering GPA: 81/100
WORK EXPERIENCE
Site Engineer Intern at Sai Engineering Academy April-July-2014
Assisting the Chief Engineer in developing models using ETABS and STAAD Pro.
Performed structural analysis of concrete frame structures of the commercial buildings.
Prepared basic design drawings and reviewed the AutoCAD structural drawings done by
others.Incorporated any changes made into the final drawings.
Handling labour and supervision of their work, material used as per design specifications and drawings.
Performed inspections to confirm the reinforcement and members placed with the building matches the
actual structural design and confirming to the standard codes.
Student Trainee Engineer at Rajiv Vidya Mission June-August 2013
Developed test reports for onsite testing of material to ensure the quality of material.
Trained in practices involved in school Building construction.
Estimated costing of the project based on the material and labour cost.
Reported daily checklist for onsite inspection as part of quality assurance to the chief engineer.
Worked independently with very little supervision from chief engineer and introduced novel methods in
waste water management
Research Experience
Repair of concrete bridge elements using UHPC (Clemson,SC) JAN 2016 – APRIL 2016
Using UHPC wraps for repair of existing concrete structures and in new bridges by analysing both
structural and material properties.
Studying the literature corresponding to repairing concrete and work towards making changes to the
codes existing before.
PROJECTS
Design of Prestressed concrete Bridge JAN 2016 – APRIL 2016
An optimal design of typical interior and exterior prestressed girders for a typical simply supported
span in the I-81 bridge over Abrams Creek near Winchester, VA.
Design was done using spread sheets and Mathcad for every 4 ft increment of the girder. The project
included the design of deck, horizontal shear transfer between deck and girder.
Calculating stresses at various points of importance in increments of 4 ft. Design of continuity
diaphragm and selection of reinforcement.
2. Analysis of Loads on Building JAN 2016 – APRIL 2016
Developing a framing plan for the two storey concrete tiltup building.Calculation of member specific
loads.Developing a load path in the structure.
Calculated generalised and member specific loads for Dead,Live,Snow, wind and seismic loads using
IBC and ASCE 7-10.
Mathcad sheets were developed for typical members.Selection of Joists and Girder was done using
Vulcraft manual.
Vibration analysis of Clemson’s Memorial stadium Aug 2015 – Dec 2015
Numerical model of the stadium was developed using the frame analysis software,SAP2000.
The model was used to execute the modal analysis of both the empty stadium and the fully occupied
stadium.
BIM of Brackett Hall Building Clemson University,SC Aug 2016 – Dec 2016
Created a computer model in Revit using the blueprints.A survey was undertaken to understand the
complex blueprints to replicate the actual building.A gameplan was formulated to develop the
model,estimates and scheduling.
4D scheduling was done in Autodesk Navisworks and project scheduling was done in MS project.
Seismic Design of 12 story Building Aug 2016 – Dec 2016
Created a 12-story model and performed analysis using ETABS program in order to determine the
maximum moment and shear values. Also computed the seismic forces using ELF procedure in both
directions.
Utilized ETABS to design longitudinal reinforcement of beams and columns and also to determine
design shear, moment and elastic displacement at the top of shear wall.
Carried out design and detailing of a typical beam, column and structural shear wall based on
provisions made in ACI 318-11.
