Overview
Senior management position responsible for directing the organization’s financial and
accounting operations including the management of goals, objectives, and budgets and
formulating policy. Oversee all aspects of accounting and finance functions of the various
entities including financial statements and reporting and associated risks. Design,
present, implement and execute approved financial strategies to support the

Responsibilities
Review and approve journal entries, bank and other account reconciliations, check
requests and manage cash flow.
•
Prepare all financial reports and/or statements and management reports for
multiple entities including the timely filing thereof.
•
Author, monitor, implement and manage internal accounting policies, procedures,
standards and controls over procurement, revenues, expenses, assets and
financial reporting and activities and operations sufficient to maintain adequate
segregation of duties and transparency, financial integrity and accuracy.

Design, prepare, implement and monitor internal budgeting process and capital
planning.

2. Evaluate vendor/partner relationships for greater efficiencies/effectiveness,
including the development and maintenance of financial management information
systems and payroll processing.

Maintain timely completion and filing of GAAP reports and tax information in
compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies.
•
Development and updating of multi-year, multi-entity pro-formas.•
Prepare and/or oversee the appropriate disbursement of funds and release for
payment.
•
Create daily cash position file and prepare daily and monthly bank account
reconciliations.
•
Create daily positive pay and cleared check bank file extracts and uploads.•
Review accounts payable transactions for required approvals, accurate account
coding and vendor payment terms; process transactional imports to the accounting
system.
•
Monitor and respond timely to all Accounting global mailboxes in Outlook.•
Issue checks for vendor invoices.•
Prepare bi-weekly payroll and communicate related funding activity.•
Process annual 1099s and report unclaimed property.•
Handle confidential and non-routine information.•
Participate in RFP process and decision to hire internal audit firm. Oversee and be
responsible for timely completion of the audit.
•
Implement audit and reporting mechanism to assure integrity and accuracy of
internal controls.
•
Mentor and develop direct reports and other associates by engaging in hiring,
coaching, training, evaluating and growing talent for the organization as staff may
be hired in the future.

Perform job tasks and functions in accordance with company policies, procedures
and guidelines.
•
Direct/oversee staff (as staff is added in the future) engaged in budgeting, financial,
operational planning, accounting and procurement.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.•
Experience in Stat accounting and Property & Casualty annual statement
preparation.
•
CPA preferred.•
Possess exceptional listening, critical-thinking and problem solving abilities with
attention to detail.
•
Must be able to work independently and in coordination with and at the direction of•
