College Campus ­ New strategy required
After meeting through a networking event, Prestige were asked to
assist a large college campus in Devon with their existing strategy.
Engaging with the Estates Manager and IT Director, Prestige
completed a comprehensive review of the existing strategies and
contracts. Although the Client already worked with a consultant,
upon analysing, it was apparent that Prestige could bring a huge
benefit to the client.
Working closely with the Estates Manager, Prestige were able to
implement a corporate strategy, streamlining all energy supplies together. Once this phase is completed we will
continue to work closely with the client, enabling them to take advantage of our on pulse industry expertise.
Together, with the IT Director, we identified the clients requirements for the future and ensured any growth plans
were taken into account. We were then able to provide a comprehensive new solution across the entire
telecommunications and IT. In this instance it was a high level, malleable, VOIP solution that will meet their needs
not only now but also in the future as they grow.
Prestige will now work with this client on an ongoing basis as part of their management team.
Academy ­ Regaining control of energy from council
Prestige were approached by an Academy based in Somerset. They had
been independent for sometime however, were still purchasing their
energy through the local council. Keen to regain control of this, but
without the internal expertise in the energy industry, they approached
Prestige.
Prestige established the process that particular council had in place for
the Academy to leave and managed this process for the Academy.
Subsequently, the Academy was able to implement a far more
advantageous energy strategy as well as having full control over the rates which were secured.
The governors ultimately decided on securing a fully fixed 3 year deal for the budgeting security. This gave the
Academy back an extra £6,000 per annum, which was previously being spent on expensive energy contracts. The
governors are now deciding what to use this extra money for in the school.

Newly established Academy ­ Regaining control of energy from council
As an introduction from the Academy in Somerset, Prestige were approached by a newly formed Academy in
Suffolk. The Client has only recently obtained Academy status and were
keen to take full advantage of this, including regaining control of their energy
costs.
The local authority had recently changed their energy purchasing to flexible
contracts, this was leaving the Academy with fluctuating costs which they
could not budget accurately for.
Prestige again established and managed the transfer away from the local
authority, enabling the Client to make their own decisions about when and
who the energy was contracted with.
After Prestige proposed a new energy strategy the governors decided on a
fully fixed 2 year term, allowing them budgeting security whilst also establishing savings of £10,000 per annum!
The Academy now holds full responsibility for their energy purchasing and is therefore able to make informed
decisions, with the help of Prestige.
Group of 8 Academies ­ Regaining control of energy from council
On the back of our work with other Academies, Prestige were approached by a group of 8 Academies in Suffolk.
Currently purchasing through the local authority, they had heard about the
savings and newly found control other Academies now had and were keen
to see what could be done for them.
Prestige reviewed the existing costs, and again managed the transfer from
the local authority. By managing their energy contracts directly, the group
were able to achieve far better rates, but most importantly, full control of
their energy budgeting.
Prestige now manage the energy purchasing for the Client, enabling them
to make fully informed decisions about when and who to contract with.
