1.Corrosion resistance is divided into three grades: Excellent——Corrosion resistance,Corrosion rate is below
0.127mm/a. Good——Medium corrosion resistance,Corrosion rate is between 0.127-1.27mm/a. Bad——Not
corrosion,Corrosion rate is 1.27mm/a.
2. Industrial pure titanium especially in neutral, oxidizing media and high corrosion resistance in seawater has high
corrosion resistance. Titanium corrosion resistance is good than aluminum, stainless steel and nickel alloy in sea
water. In the atmosphere of industrial, agricultural and marine environments, the surface of titanium product does not
discolor even after several years. Hydrofluoric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, orthophosphoric acid and some
hot concentrated organic acids on the corrosion of titanium . Titanium on a variety of concentrations of nitric acid and
chromic acid high stability in alkaline solution and most organic acids, inorganic salt solution corrosion resistance is
also high.
3. Titanium corrosion is carried out uniformly,does not occur local corrosion and intergranular corrosion.
4. Titanium alloy corrosion resistance and industrial titanium close, this is the titanium alloy in the chemical and
shipbuilding industry to obtain a wide range of applications.
