CV for Claire Elliott
Objective:
I am currently employed as Coordinator of Community Education at The King Edmund School

organisations or individuals to provide a wide range of computer based classes and
craft/hobby/interest courses. Part of my current role involves coordinating the entire process
from creating an idea through to hiring suitable tutors to deliver the course. I am looking to use

away from this aspect of work and immerse myself in a new and exciting challenge.

Interest and personal profile
I consider myself to be a professional individual with excellent communication skills and a good sense of humour. I
am married with 3 children and a dog. I enjoy walking my dogs, going to the gym and playing competitive tennis. I
get pleasure from cooking, dining out, reading and socialising with friends. Ayear ago I have taken up learning how
to make soft furnishings and dressmaking.
I am a confident, outgoing and positive person. I enjoy meeting new people and believe that I make people feel at
ease in my company, especially when others are feeling nervous. I have an energetic manner and I am always
looking for ways to solve a problem, no matter whether it is work or home related. I have an excellent working
knowledge of Microsoft Office applications as I have had over 12 years teaching experience in this field and I believe
that this will be of great benefit to any office-based environment. I am able to converse with people of all ages and
have plenty of experience of dealing with young adults after bringing up my 3 daughters, who are now well
established in their own careers.
As a point of interest, when I started at KES, there were approximately 40 students attending about 4 different types
of classes. Over the last 6 ½ yrs I have increased this to 170 at one point, covering over 15 subjects and now
includes not just adult education courses but also a successful Book Club, a Bridge Club and a whole range of
interesting hobbies and workshops. In fact, most recently I have organised an event for Bollywood themed Dance
teamed up with Indian Cookery, for staff and people living within the locality of the school. This I believe is evidence of
my ability to engage with people and show how I am able to meet the needs of individuals, no matter what the
environment is.
