Cynthia is an experienced Release of Information Clerk who has
membership in California Health Information Asssociation/ American
Health Information Association for 6 years making her very
knowledgeable in HIPAA laws and regulations. She worked for a
prestigious local hospital, where she had an excellent attendance
record. She processed billing and detail statement requests for
authorizations and subpoenas for copy services and attorneys. She
processed an average of 1500 requests per month both logging and
documenting in computer system/ log books. She is familiar with
scanning processes including attaching proper account numbers to
claims Programs she is familiar with include AS400, Excel, ChartMaxx,
Word, Affinity and ACA. She also provided ambulance transport
sheets for ambulance companies on request to support their billing
office. She received and returned phone calls from copy services and
attorneys regarding status calls on requests. She assembled requests
from insurance company audits after ascertain claims were
appropriately paid at 95% of billed amount. When with Crawford
and Company, she ran the mail room including the fax machine,
postage meter and delivery of outgoing mail. When she was with
Tenet Healthcare she reorganized the file room and claim setup,
making the process of sorting, batching and distributing 1200 claims
per day among the claims processors. She also took control of the file
room; ascertaining claims were not lost or misfiled. She belongs to a
charity organization assisting other charity organizations with either
donation of goods, services and time.
