2. CONCEPT OR IDEA
The ident is set in a park on a bench. Part of the bench is cut off by the edge of the shot. There are
two people sitting on the bench and they are admiring the wonderful weather. Close ups of the two
peoples face, they look at each other and then look to the side to see the logo sitting on the bench next
to them, as if to be alive.
Three characters, Ben, Laurence and the E4 Logo.
3. PURPOSE
By doing this it will make the audience laugh, therefore they will feel obliged to watch the upcoming
show. It will fill a short gap, so instead of having black there will always be something playing while the
channel is broadcasting.
There is no real meaning behind the ident, it is more for pure entertainment and for the enjoyment
of the audience.

6. JUSTIFICATION
This idea will be successful because it is simple and very random and funny, all of these are stated on
E4’s Corporate Identity Theory, so by following these guidelines it makes the ident fit the channel. These
are also the conventions of the E4 idents, normally you would see random things happening, so by
making our ident random we’re sticking with the conventions.
