The Washington Center Partners with Johnson and Wales University
Having worked at Goldman Sachs for almost two decades, Christopher K. Norton is an experienced financial executive. Alongside his professional activities, Christopher K. Norton has been involved with several educational organizations, including The Washington Center (TWC). The center has announced a partnership with Johnson and Wales University (JWU) to maximize academic outcomes for students. The agreement capitalizes on TWC’s expertise in connecting higher-level students with experiential learning opportunities. With the partnership, the organizations aim to provide students in JWU’s political science program with up to 3,000 annual internships. Provost Billye Auclair, Ph.D., notes that the initiative will continue to elevate the program, which began in 2016. It will increase the opportunities that students will have in areas related to their courses. In announcing the partnership, the organizations unveiled the Spring 2021 Academic Internship Program, alongside an Inauguration 2021 Academic Seminar. Students enrolled in the political science program will be provided with details of these events shortly.
