conservation priorities and develop strategies to achieve those priorities.
• Forest Carbon Offsets. Blue Green works with public and private forest owners to develop
and market carbon offset from their land to reduce the adverse effects of climate change.
Blue Green also identifies appropriate projects for entities seeking to purchase carbon offsets.

Chris Knopf is president and founder of Blue Green Solutions LLC. Chris has twenty years of experience in
conservation and environmental law. Chris graduated from Georgetown University with honors and from the
University of Virginia School of Law where he was a member of the Virginia Law Review. Chris practiced
environmental law in Cleveland, Ohio with Thompson Hine & Flory and was an adjunct professor at Case Western
Reserve University School of Law. For eleven years, Chris worked for The Trust for Public Land, a national, nonprofit
conservation organization, where he was involved in all aspects of implementing complex conservation transactions.
Chris is active in civic affairs and serves on the Board of Directors of the Hill Farm Historical Society in North Oaks,
Minnesota. Chris enjoys the outdoors with his wife and three children.
