Parola just launched a revolutionary new collaborative music platform, available
on iOS, that enables everyone tocreate and discover music. The music industry
has been watching Parola’s growth since the firm displayed its beta stage product
at last week’s TechCrunch’s Disrupt SF. The firm's raised over $2M in capital
from angel investors such as Michael Cohen, partner at Capital International,
YankiMargalit, founder of Innodo and Miki Tunis, Senior VP at The Orchard, a
Sony Music Entertainment holding.
Parola’s patented technology enables people to collaborate, record and remix
separate song tracks in the constantly growing music catalog, allowing users to
add or subtract vocals or instruments using their proprietary system, which was
2. only accessible previously through professional recording studios. Users
worldwide can create a song together by adding their vocals and instruments to
classic hits, in addition to collaborating on new tracks utilizing their iOS device.
Money’s Edge had the opportunity to speak with Ido Ariely, CEO of Parola on his
new open music technology. Here’s what the maestrohad to say:
“Since beginning development back in January (2015), we have focused on
creating an open music platform in which we can bring the wisdom of the crowd
together to share and collaborate with others on making the music we embrace
more personal through customization and optimization. It truly is a studio for the
masses. All of our instrument and vocal functionality presets will ensure the right
dB levels are incorporated to the song of your choice without being overpowering.
We have done all the heavy lifting so users can focus on enjoying the music. It is
extremely easy tore-record vocals and instruments and remix songs using their
smart phones.”
The interface is intuitively easy to navigate and the multi-algorithm back end
brings a lot of power to the app including the key features of studio-like sound,
track remixing, collaboration without imposed limitations and discovery of new
talent.

Ido further commented, “Parola is reshaping the way music is created, opening
up opportunities for a larger audience of music enthusiasts. We also recently
incorporated a feature for others to give feedback on their work, providing the
opportunity to give recognition to up-vote your favorite songs with Parola’s
‘groovy’ button. It is an exciting time for us as we can offer people the ability to
reshape music without expensive equipment or extensive training in sound
recording.”
So far the cloud offers 100 songs to choose from, with thousands more being
accessible within the next few weeks.
Rock on!
