Objective: Delivermachinerysolutionsforthe airseparationplantandliquefier,withintight
budgetconstraintsandchanging customerandlocal regulatoryrequirements.
Compression, filtration, liquefierexpanders, cryogenicliquiddisposalsystems,
noise abatementequipment, coolingsystems,andspecialistcryogenicpumps.
Achieved: All equipmentspecified,includingfindinga novel compressionsolutiontosave
$250,000 incapital cost. Brought throughprocurement,testinganddeliverytosite
withinanextremelytightschedule. Commissionedonsite,whiletrainingupa
relativelyinexperiencedlocal team. Capacityprovedbysite testexactlyon
schedule,andsuccessfulhandovertoa delightedlocal operatingteam.

Machineryfor a 400T/day oxygenplant for Mopani Copper,Zambia (2005)
Objective: Delivermachinerysolutionsforthe airseparationplant,meetinglocal
requirementsandminimisingoperatingandcapital cost. Compression, filtration,
liquefierexpanders,coolingsystems,andspecialistcryogenicpumps.
Achieved: All equipmentspecified,shepherdedthroughconstructionandtesting, and
deliveredtosite ontime and2% underbudget.
Role: Lead machineryengineer.
Technical negotiationfor global supplyagreementfor cryogenic pumps(2004)
Objective: Update and improve technical offerfromsupplier,withoutcompromisingprice.
Achieved: As stated. Multiple visitstosupplier’soffices,tothrashouttechnical detailsand
agree exactscope and specification.
Role: Processengineeringrepresentative onthe negotiationteam.
Machineryfor two 3,500T/day oxygenand nitrogenplant in Qatar (2003 – 2004)
Objective: DeliverancillarymachineryforAirProducts’largestairseparationplanttodate.
Cryogenicliquiddisposalsystems,filtration,noiseabatementequipment, cooling
systems,andspecialistcryogenicpumps.
Achieved: Equipmentspecified,procured,testedanddeliveredontime and3% underbudget.
Continuingrole supportingthe site commissioningteaminbringingthe planton
streamto schedule.
