As an educational consultant with Sugar Maple Consulting, NH-based Chip McGee helps
educational administrators analyze data, design curriculum, and craft essential communications.
Prior to his role as a consultant, Chip McGee was the superintendent of the Bedford School District
in NH. During his time as a school administrator in Bedford, Mr. McGee was also an executive
board member of the New Hampshire School Administrators Association.

Comprised of superintendents, assistant superintendents, school business officials, curriculum
coordinators, and system administrators, the New Hampshire School Administrators Association is
dedicated to providing the best possible education for students across the state.

Last June, the organization held its 77th annual conference in educational leadership at Omni
Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire. Over the course of three days,
attendees heard from industry professionals about a variety of topics including hiring practices and
trauma. Two authors, George Couros and Curt Steinhorst, also spoke at the event.

George Couros is the author of The Innovator's Mindset: Empower Learning, Unleash Talent, and
Lead a Culture of Creativity. Drawing on over 17 years of educational experience, Mr. Couros
spoke about how to utilize innovative teaching techniques to inspire creativity in students. A
teaching, learning, and leadership consultant, Mr. Couros instructs educational professionals on
how to respond to the natural curiosity of children to foster critical thinking skills and an innovative
approach to learning.

Curt Steinhorst is the author of Can I Have Your Attention?, a book that explores the distracting
effects of technology and its impact on productivity and the bottom line. A coach for executives and
television personalities, Mr. Steinhorst helps his clients overcome distraction and the noise of a
digital age. He focused his presentation on how to improve focus and revive engagement in the
classroom.
