After having The Tech Shot up for around 2 months now, we looked at our analytics and analysed our readership. These insights we presented in our Technology and Innovation class. We created this powerpoint presentation to share the outcomes of different experiments we conducted in November to better understand our readers.

BEN
Decided on a theme: technology and innovation lifestyle news decided this as we thought this would give diversity to some extent, but overall focus on up-to-date news. Included posts about big companies e.g. tesla, amazon as we thought this would catch attention of our readers…
The launch of our blog:
The first post: very important to introduce ourselves! Make it personal and readers to get to know us
Everyone had to write a tiny introduction of themselve
After setting up blog and posting one post per week, we ‘restrategized’ our blog conducting different experiments and set up schedule for it. Everyone was assigned to take part in one to two different experiments.
Starting November 7th!
Experiment 1: Formal vs. informal writing style
Best day to post Friday
Every time we posted an article, we shared it heavily on social media, including linkedin, instagram, facebook…
We even added a subscription feature on our blog, which however was not very popular among readers….
Here we can say that because we started publishing every day, our readers “got tired” and we have less views
Follow link building other pages should put links to our page (follow to follow with other blogs)
Create terminals
Keywords!
Labels mention hypothesis
More time to conduct experiments – posts show that when we interact with readers we get more readers like being asked for their opinions (e.g. poll)
Use more SEO strategies use labels but that’s not enough
