Contract Utility Operator / Roustabout – Peak / Nikiski, AK 06/14 – Current
Secure helicopter landing pad and check personnel on/off platform.
Procure necessary materials and supplies to complete daily tasks
General maintenance/housekeeping of platform, as well as filling out job safety analysis and permits.
Inspect equipment for safety problems, leaks, or wear and tear, and make or recommend appropriate repairs.
Tighten connections with wrenches,and grease and oil valves using grease gun.
Inspect pipelines, valves, and flanges to detect malfunctions.
Record daily meters and pressure readings of running equipment and check lubes.
Operation and troubleshooting of pumps, turbines, compressors, gas fired equipment and valves to regulate flow
of oil into and out of tanks and wells.
Using P&IDs to identify pipelines to be hydro tested and change crude flow.
Knowledge of starting up platform after being shut in.
Monitor alarms and respond to alarms/pages 24 hours per day. Work schedule of 1 week on 1 week off.
Independently lift and carry 100 lbs on an occasionalbasis and upwardsof 60 lbs on a frequent basis with up to 5 ft
height and traveling severalhundred ft and up and down flights of stairs.
Roustabout – ASRC / Nikiski, AK 09/11 – 06/14
General facility/dock maintenance/housekeeping, as well as filling out job safety analysis and permits.
Operate cranes,company work trucks, plow truck, sanding truck, and loader.
Safely and efficiently perform lock out/tag out procedures when repairs are needed.
Interface with the operational teams involved with Tesoro facilities throughout the operations.
Troubleshoot issues, monitor equipment and processes in the field looking for potential problem areas and
respond to changes and deviations from the established limits.
Operate,manage and troubleshoot manifold piping and valving.
Knowledge of securing product ships and barges to dock and connecting product hoses for loading and unloading
of product.
Identify pipelines to be hydro tested using P&IDs as wellas hydro test hoses.
Cleaning and disposing of hydrocarbon cover material and containers.
On call 24/7 for facility and dock issues.
Assist in response to product spillcontroland cleanup activities.
