EXPERIENCE
04/2013 – Present NCR Corporation (Hospitality Division – formerly Radiant Systems)
Fort Worth, Texas
Projects:
Connected Payments – Move EDC functionality to the Cloud – QA Lead Hospitality
• Chuck E Cheese Solution – MSR Credit with Tips and Adjustments, PIN Debit, EMV
Credit with Tips and Adjustments, EMV Debit (FirstData, VX820)
• Bob Evans Solution – ATO Tokenization, EMV Credit with Tips and Adjustments, EMV
Debit, MSR Credit with Tips and Adjustments
• Moe’s Solution – MSR Credit
• Wingstop Solution – MSR Credit

Ave Solution – MSR Credit (No Adjustments)
• Focus Brands Solution – MSR Credit
I’m leading the Test and Quality effort as NCR moves all Back of the House payment infrastructure to the
more secure cloud and provide MSR and EMV functionality to the hospitality industry.
My responsibility involves leading a team of 6-10 QA Engineers, creating and managing 10-15 solution
labs. Configuring end-to-end lab configurations from Aloha POS, openEPS, APS, Configuration Manager
and Data Manager. I’m also responsible for configuring all pinpads including p2p and debit injections and
configuration with Aloha and the Connected Payments cloud infrastructure, developing the test approach
and test strategy.
In addition, I’m involved in daily readiness calls, providing daily updates to leadership on test progress,
reporting defects, working with development, project managers, equipment vendors and processors.
Add Moneris Processor to EDC (Wendy’s Canada)
Added Moneris, Canada’s largest payments processor to EDC, NCR Aloha’s payment system. Developed
Test strategy to ensure design, development and implementation met requirements and happened in a
timely manner.
MasterCard Terminal ID Mandate
This enhancement implemented the MasterCard Unique Terminal ID mandate, also known as unique CAT
ID or unique Card Acceptor Terminal ID, into the Aloha POS Solution.
The mandate stipulates that merchants provide a unique terminal ID with every transaction in order to
allow an audit trail in case of a breach or fraud investigation.
Processors worked with during on this project - Buypass, Vantiv (Terminal Capture), Vantiv (Host
Capture), Chase Paymentech and Firstdata-CES
Add Store and Forward to EDC
This enhancement implemented Store and Forward behind the Aloha POS Solution, specifically in EDC,
also known as Electronic Draft Capture. This is the payment system used by Aloha to process credit, debit,
gift, stored value and EBT payments. This was necessary in order to separate processor threads in EDC
and allow them to process transactions online and offline independently as necessary whenever
communication to the host was down or intermittent without interrupting another processor thread. The
solution already had a spooling mechanism between the POS and the backend.
So far, the solution has been implemented successfully in production after incubating in controlled
deployment for a few months and has seen much faster processing times (10 seconds or less) at 3,000
Quick Service locations.
Processors worked with on this project - GIVEX, Vantiv (formerly Fifth Third Processing Solutions)
(Host Capture), Vantiv (Terminal Capture)
EMV Canada
This enhancemet implemented EMV for one of the largest Quick Service chains in the world. This was
done for their Canadian operations and involved integrating with Canada's largest processor, Moneris,
natively into EDC. Currently, the solution is in UAT and should go into controlled deployment after all the
issues reported are resolved.
Processors worked with on this project - Moneris, GIVEX
Devices worked with - Ingenico IPP320
Connected Payments
Migrating legacy payment system (EDC) to Connected Payments, a next-generation, highly scalable SaaS
payment solution developed by NCR.
Working in an agile environment, we are currently in the process of migrating Aloha payments (EDC –
Electronic Draft Capture) into the cloud. Once implemented, EDC will be gradually phased out and all
natively (or emulated) integrated processors currently in EDC - including Buypass, FirstData CES,
Heartland, Vantiv, Chase Paymentech, Elavon, GIVEX, WorldPay, Valuelink/Nabanco, TSYS/Visanet
will be integrated into Connected Payments, that should make integrations, enhancements and maintenance
much more efficient and less time-consuming.
This solution will also reduce the PCI compliance footprint and requirements away from the POS and
instead will now be managed at the cloud level, reducing regulatory and industry compliance scope for
customers.
Devices working with on this project - Verifone MX915, MX-925, VX-690, VX-820
Other Work
Equipment Injection
Receiving equipment from Vendors, Verifone, Ingenico. Verifying functionality. Injecting with encryption

12/2012 – 04/13 Researchnow (eRewards Inc.) Plano, Texas
e-Rewards®, Inc. is the global leader in permission-based digital data collection and reporting, headquartered in
Plano, Texas. With over 1,200 employees worldwide, the company operates through its business units Research
Now, e-Miles, Peanut Labs, Conversition Strategies and iPinion, LLC.
Quality Assurance Engineer
Worked in Researchnow unit on the STS (Supply the Sample) project. Researchnow is an agile environment. The goal of
this project was to build one global operations system thereby improving operational productivity through one set of tools
for all projects; Panel Utilization; Panelist Satisfaction; routing; traffic generation; feasibility; customer satisfaction by
giving more time for Ops Project Managers to focus on the customer; provide an open, easy to use, flexible, reliable
technology base for the future.
Currently, several systems are in use to manage the business workflow and the goal is to have STS unify and automate
these processes as much as possible onto one platform. For example, Abacus (now Epsilon Targeting) is used for
sampling, Compass for project assignment, reconciliation, traffic generation, routing and reporting; and salesforce for
feasibility workstream before final processing in STS. STS will interface STS completes to PeopleSoft project costing for
revenue and standard cost transactions. The goal is to have all these processes run end-to-end in STS. Several legacy
systems will be rendered obsolete but others like Compass will continue to work with STS until the migration to STS and
PeopleSoft is complete.
My role in this project was to execute manual test cases in HP ALM 11 (Quality Center or QC). I worked in a team of 26
QA Engineers. Defects were logged in Quality Center and Jira. Defect meetings were held every morning and a build was
deployed daily.
There was an oracle backend which I had access to via an oracle client ( Oracle SQL Developer v1.5.5). We ran queries to
verify UI submits were committed correctly in the database and also use the database to pull test data.
Test cases were linked to acceptance criteria which in turn were linked to user stories in the requirements module of
Quality Center.
Daily activities also included updating actual execution hours in Quality Center for each test case, updating project hours
in confluence, data requests and attending team meetings.
Each QA Engineer was paired with a project manager from operations due to the volume of work that had to be
completed. We mentored them on the QA process for 3 weeks and after that they were assigned test cases to
execute with the QA engineer available for consultations.
Finally each QA engineer was paired with UAT testers who were sourced globally from Researchnow offices
around the world. These were project managers, operations people and some QA engineers from other groups. We
walked them through the testing process and logged defects for them as defects were found.
12/2010 – 12/2011 Fedex Office – Services (Technology) Dallas, Texas
FedEx provides access to a growing global marketplace through a network of supply chain services,
transportation services, business and information services.
Quality Assurance Engineer
Worked on the Sales Force Automation and Integration Project. The purpose of this project was to migrate
from COMPASS (Sales Performance Business Objects Universe) to NAVIGATOR, developed internally by
Fedex in a JavaEE environment to maximize efficiencies, sales performance and improve search capabilities
and retire the existing COMPASS application. NAVIGATOR passed the data to SALESFORCE.COM via
NAVIGATOR automation code and SALESFORCE automation code via an ETL.
Fedex Office IT is a waterfall environment and testers participate in the whole STLC including
requirements analysis and sometimes test planning activities. QA is heavily involved in the rest of the
STLC including test case development, environment setup and test execution.
Wrote functional test cases for Navigator and uploaded to Quality Center. Ran functional and regression test
cases directly from QC. Performed integration testing between NAVIGATOR and SALESFORCE.COM.
As defects were encountered, they were written directly in QC. Navigator is a web based application and was
tested directly from a browser session.
Testing involved verifying data pulled correctly from COMPASS to Navigator and functionality worked as laid
out in the Software Requirements Specification.
Also tested the salesforce interface on the following Mobile platforms – iOS, Windows and Android.
After defects were fixed and a build letter issued, defect testing was done to ensure both defect and existing
functionality worked

Add Moneris Processor to EDC (Wendy’s Canada) Added Moneris, Canada’s largest payments processor to EDC, NCR Aloha’s payment system. Developed Test strategy to ensure design, development and implementation met requirements and happened in a timely manner. MasterCard Terminal ID Mandate This enhancement implemented the MasterCard Unique Terminal ID mandate, also known as unique CAT ID or unique Card Acceptor Terminal ID, into the Aloha POS Solution. The mandate stipulates that merchants provide a unique terminal ID with every transaction in order to allow an audit trail in case of a breach or fraud investigation. Processors worked with during on this project - Buypass, Vantiv (Terminal Capture), Vantiv (Host Capture), Chase Paymentech and Firstdata-CES Add Store and Forward to EDC This enhancement implemented Store and Forward behind the Aloha POS Solution, specifically in EDC, also known as Electronic Draft Capture. This is the payment system used by Aloha to process credit, debit, gift, stored value and EBT payments. This was necessary in order to separate processor threads in EDC and allow them to process transactions online and offline independently as necessary whenever communication to the host was down or intermittent without interrupting another processor thread. The
  • 3. solution already had a spooling mechanism between the POS and the backend. So far, the solution has been implemented successfully in production after incubating in controlled deployment for a few months and has seen much faster processing times (10 seconds or less) at 3,000 Quick Service locations. Processors worked with on this project - GIVEX, Vantiv (formerly Fifth Third Processing Solutions) (Host Capture), Vantiv (Terminal Capture) EMV Canada This enhancemet implemented EMV for one of the largest Quick Service chains in the world. This was done for their Canadian operations and involved integrating with Canada's largest processor, Moneris, natively into EDC. Currently, the solution is in UAT and should go into controlled deployment after all the issues reported are resolved. Processors worked with on this project - Moneris, GIVEX Devices worked with - Ingenico IPP320 Connected Payments Migrating legacy payment system (EDC) to Connected Payments, a next-generation, highly scalable SaaS payment solution developed by NCR. Working in an agile environment, we are currently in the process of migrating Aloha payments (EDC – Electronic Draft Capture) into the cloud. Once implemented, EDC will be gradually phased out and all natively (or emulated) integrated processors currently in EDC - including Buypass, FirstData CES, Heartland, Vantiv, Chase Paymentech, Elavon, GIVEX, WorldPay, Valuelink/Nabanco, TSYS/Visanet will be integrated into Connected Payments, that should make integrations, enhancements and maintenance much more efficient and less time-consuming. This solution will also reduce the PCI compliance footprint and requirements away from the POS and instead will now be managed at the cloud level, reducing regulatory and industry compliance scope for customers. Devices working with on this project - Verifone MX915, MX-925, VX-690, VX-820 Other Work Equipment Injection Receiving equipment from Vendors, Verifone, Ingenico. Verifying functionality. Injecting with encryption keys and application packages as required. EDC

Plano, Texas e-Rewards®, Inc. is the global leader in permission-based digital data collection and reporting, headquartered in Plano, Texas. With over 1,200 employees worldwide, the company operates through its business units Research Now, e-Miles, Peanut Labs, Conversition Strategies and iPinion, LLC.
  • 5. Quality Assurance Engineer Worked in Researchnow unit on the STS (Supply the Sample) project. Researchnow is an agile environment. The goal of this project was to build one global operations system thereby improving operational productivity through one set of tools for all projects; Panel Utilization; Panelist Satisfaction; routing; traffic generation; feasibility; customer satisfaction by giving more time for Ops Project Managers to focus on the customer; provide an open, easy to use, flexible, reliable technology base for the future. Currently, several systems are in use to manage the business workflow and the goal is to have STS unify and automate these processes as much as possible onto one platform. For example, Abacus (now Epsilon Targeting) is used for sampling, Compass for project assignment, reconciliation, traffic generation, routing and reporting; and salesforce for feasibility workstream before final processing in STS. STS will interface STS completes to PeopleSoft project costing for revenue and standard cost transactions. The goal is to have all these processes run end-to-end in STS. Several legacy systems will be rendered obsolete but others like Compass will continue to work with STS until the migration to STS and PeopleSoft is complete. My role in this project was to execute manual test cases in HP ALM 11 (Quality Center or QC). I worked in a team of 26 QA Engineers. Defects were logged in Quality Center and Jira. Defect meetings were held every morning and a build was deployed daily. There was an oracle backend which I had access to via an oracle client ( Oracle SQL Developer v1.5.5). We ran queries to verify UI submits were committed correctly in the database and also use the database to pull test data. Test cases were linked to acceptance criteria which in turn were linked to user stories in the requirements module of Quality Center. Daily activities also included updating actual execution hours in Quality Center for each test case, updating project hours in confluence, data requests and attending team meetings. Each QA Engineer was paired with a project manager from operations due to the volume of work that had to be completed. We mentored them on the QA process for 3 weeks and after that they were assigned test cases to execute with the QA engineer available for consultations. Finally each QA engineer was paired with UAT testers who were sourced globally from Researchnow offices around the world. These were project managers, operations people and some QA engineers from other groups. We walked them through the testing process and logged defects for them as defects were found. 12/2010 – 12/2011 Fedex Office – Services (Technology) Dallas, Texas FedEx provides access to a growing global marketplace through a network of supply chain services, transportation services, business and information services. Quality Assurance Engineer Worked on the Sales Force Automation and Integration Project. The purpose of this project was to migrate from COMPASS (Sales Performance Business Objects Universe) to NAVIGATOR, developed internally by Fedex in a JavaEE environment to maximize efficiencies, sales performance and improve search capabilities and retire the existing COMPASS application. NAVIGATOR passed the data to SALESFORCE.COM via
