designers to graphically present ideas and present objects

The three terms most often used to offer to the graphic portion of the

These are synonymous and can be used interchangeably. They are graphic
representations or illustrations of the project and comprise lines, symbols,
and abbreviations printed on the paper that represent the owner’s wishes,
as interpreted by the architect.

6. Architectural Drawings
Core drawings showing the layout of

convey the aesthetic value of the
structure and show the dimensions and
placement of all key features. The first

systems, most commonly the
mechanical and electrical systems.
10. Site Drawings
Illustrate the structure’s relationship to
the property, including various
engineering improvements to the site,
such as the sanitary system, utilities,
paving walks, curbing and so forth.
