2. Tun Abdul Razak Tun Abdul Razak was the second Prime Minister of Malaysia, heading the country from year 1970 to 1976. He born in PulauKeladi, Pahang on March 11, 1922. He was educated at the Malay College, Kuala Kangsar in year 1934 and Raffles College, Singapore. He was awarded a scholarship to study at Raffles College in Singapore in year 1940 after joining the Malay Administrative Service in year 1939.
3. During the war , he helped to organize and joined the Anti-Japanese Malay Resistance Movement (Wataniah) resistance movement in Pahang. He effected major policy changes with long-term implications for the multiethnic population and the nation. After the general elections in year 1959, he became the Minister of Rural Development in addition to holding the portfolios of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence. Besides that, Tun Abdul Razak left for Britain in year 1947 to study law with a Malayan Union scholarship and he received a Degree of an Utter Barrister from Lincoln's Inn in year 1950.
4. Hewas a member of the British Labour Party and prominent student leader of the Kesatuan Malayan Great Britain in England. In year 1950, he became the youth chief for United Malays National Organisation (UMNO). Tun Abdul Razak was also a member of the February 1956 mission to London to seek the independence of Malaya from the British. In order to replace the ruling Alliance Party. He set up the National Front on January 1, 1973. He was posthumously granted the sobriquet Bapa Pembangunan (Father of Development).
