2. INTRODUCTION
❖ Internal communication and information exchange is one of the backbones of a
company's growth.
❖ Odoo 14 has a discussion module that will act as a platform for the discussion on
various aspects of company operations.

3. ❖ Install Discuss module from apps in Odoo, Then you can see a chat icon in top left corner
in every apps even in the Home screen.

4. ❖ Inside Discuss app you can see:
● Inbox - All the inbox

5.  Starred - Starred messages

6.  History - Will list all the previous messages.

7.  Channels - These are similar to Groups in messaging social medias.

8. ❖ You can create a new Channel by clicking on the “+” symbol and give it a name. You can
create a public(# in front of the name) or private(Lock icon in front of the name) channel

9. ❖ To go to the setting of the Channel click on the Settings icon on the right side of the
channel name

10. ❖ The messages coming directly to you will also be displayed here.

11. ❖ Now you will be redirected to its settings page, form here you can set up different
settings of the channel like how and who can be added to this channel,etc

12. ❖ You can also add members of the channel from here.

13. ❖ By clicking on the clock symbol you can see all the activities remaining.

14. ❖ By clicking on the Chat symbol you can see all the incoming messages, from chats, channels.

15. ❖ By clicking on the Chat symbol you can see all the incoming messages.

16. ❖ When a new message is arrived in Channel(image 1) or Chat a popup will come in the bottom
right corner. You can also sent message through that to channel or direct message(image 2)
we don’t want to go to discuss module for that.

17. ❖ Under most of all the records(Sale Order, Purchase Order, etc) forms view we get an option to
add log not, add users to follow this activity, schedule an activity, sent message, etc.

18. ❖ This is the popup which comes when we click on the button Schedule an Activity, here we
can schedule an activity, give an explanation about the activity(call, email, direct contact, etc),
due date, and also we can assign a person for the activity.
