To Whom It May Concern:
It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Ms. Angela
Cash. From October, 2007, to February, 2008, I was the University Mentor
for Ms. Cash as she completed her student teaching portion of her
credential program at Azusa Pacific University.
During the months that I was assigned as the mentor for Ms. Cash, I had
the opportunity to observe Ms. Cash during numerous visits to the
classrooms where she was assigned for student teaching. She was always
professional in her dress and demeanor and was very enthusiastic about
teaching as a profession. In both of her assignments, she established
excellent rapport with her students and assumed increasing responsibility
in the classrooms during her nine-week assignments.
I found Ms. Cash to be very creative in her prepared lessons and very
competent in keeping control of the class and insuring student
involvement. In conversations with her master teacher, I learned that
Ms. Cash willingly accepts classroom responsibilities and is punctual and
dependable. She also participates in meetings and other school
activities. She displays an excellent grasp of teaching theory and
practice. She has shown herself to be very adaptable, going from a 3rd
grade classroom to a more difficult 4/5 combination class during her two
student teaching assignments. Both of her master teachers rated her very
highly on their final evaluations.
I believe that Ms. Cash has the potential to be a highly effective
teaching professional and I would recommend her for any teaching
assignment that she may seek. Please feel free to contact me if you
require any additional information.
Sincerely,
Dr. Edward C. “Pete” Rodine
