I am pleased to write this reference in support of Caroline Schiller’s application to study abroad at the
Chinese University of Hong Kong.
I know Caroline from my level 1 introductory course to marketing, Marketing 1B, at the Adam Smith
Business School, the University of Glasgow. Although the large class lectures (250) provide little
opportunity to interact, Caroline has proved herself as an extremely hardworking and engaged
student in the course tutorials. In particular, she has demonstrated a highly advanced ability to reflect
critically on various aspects of marketing. Her presentational skills are commendable and she is
always keen to share her insights. She is a very passionate student.
In my view, there is no doubt that Caroline is a highly intelligent student, who will excel in what ever
career she will choose to pursue. Studying abroad will further enable Caroline to develop her skills
and academic abilities, but most importantly offers a valuable cultural experience that will be of great
personal value and further enhance her career prospects, given her plan to pursue a career in
international business.
Lastly, Caroline has demonstrate her academic prowess within business studies with an impressive
A5 in Business and Management 1A.
I strongly support Caroline’s application to study abroad.
