Important provisions to note:
1. The amended Competency Standards for Basic
Competencies Integrated with 21stCentury Skills is a
pre-requisite for all training delivery for all TVET
qualifications/programs.
2. The National TVET Trainers Academy (NTTA) shall
conduct capability building programs for Trainers to
ensure that the amended Basic Competencies
integrated with 21st Century Skills are articulated in
the training delivery during the implementation of
TVET programs.

Region from March 12 to 15, 2018 in Davao City.
3. Conducted 2nd round of Content Mapping on EDC Life Skills
and TESDA 21st Century Skills Competencies with NTTA in
early 2018.
4. Life Skills Training for Trainers of TESDA Training
Institutions from 16 regions (50 trainers in July 2018
conducted at NTTA)
5. Master Trainer’s Training for 30 TTI Trainers from 15
regions in January 2019

program funded by the United States
Agency for International Development (USAID)

the Philippines until 2025.
• It is implemented by Education Development
Center, Inc. (EDC) in collaboration with the
Department of Education (DepEd), Technical
Education and Skills Development Authority
(TESDA), Local Government Units (LGUs),
private sector, and program partners: SEAMEO-
INNOTECH, Philippine Business for Education
(PBEd), Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO),
Accenture, and Catholic Relief Services (CRS).
