Today was my first duty as an FS student. When we arrived at the cooperating
school, the assigned FS personnel conducted an orientation because according to her
the principal was absent and she was being told to do so. There were funny and brief
but meaningful conversations between her and us.
February 7, 2017
Today was my second day of duty. As we arrived in school, the principal was
already present and because of that she gave us brief orientation, sort of tips on how to
be a teacher and at the same time, gave us knowledge on how to handle students. After
that, the assigned personnel, Ma’am Pinky gave us our respective assigned
classrooms. We are assigned in the Grade-7 and 10.
February 9, 2017
Today was our first classroom duty. As we entered the classroom, the students
courteously greeted us. They immediately gave us plastic chairs to sit. The students
listen attentively to their teacher’s discussion.
February 16, 2017
Today we conducted our first quiz in Grade 7-St. Luke. It was the last section for
Grade 7. As expected, only few got the passing score. There were just 3 of them who
got the perfect score.
March 2, 2017
Today, we conducted a quiz in both Grade 7 and Grade 10. As we conducted our
quiz, we felt like a real teacher communicating with the students. It also felt like
somewhat nervous and shaky but despite of that we managed to brace ourselves and
focus on what we’re actually doing. The rest was just a conversation between the critic
teacher and us.
March 7, 2017
Today we conducted a quiz. As usual, we acted like a real teacher. The students
also showed some unpleasant behavior. What we did was that we warned the students
to deduct their scores if ever they will continue their unpleasant actions and behaviors.
2. March 9, 2017
The students showed unpleasant behavior it’s because there were some matters
about how they treat each other during the quiz. Just a little argument and it was fixed
immediately by the critic teacher.
March 13, 2017
The students showed a very pleasant behavior. They were so quiet to the point
that almost all of them got a passing scores after evaluating their checking their papers.
The quiz was a bit easy for the students because they listen attentively to their teacher.
March 16, 2017
Today, the students were just smiling brightly at each other. No conflict occurs.
We also did our usual task which was to assist the teacher in keeping the harmonious
relationship towards the students.
March 21, 2017
Today, as usual after the teacher’s discussion, we had our quiz which would be
our 6th quiz. We assisted the teacher and had a short conversation regarding student’s
behavior and mental capacity towards the lesson. As per conversation, the more days
passed, the more we get closer to students and build strong friendship relationship.
March 23, 2017
Today, nothing special happened. Just like the usual days inside the classroom.
We acted as a real teacher and had a short conversation with the critic teacher.
March 28, 2017
This time the teacher kept on discussing while the other students were playing
mobile games and talking to their seatmates. After the discussion, we conducted a short
quiz.
March 30,2017
Today was our last day of duty. As we listen attentively to the teacher’s
discussion, the students also did the same. At the end of the lesson, we had our
pictorials with the students.
