Wolf Mask
This mask will specifically be used to help represent abuse and
domestic violence which is the key message that will be conveyed in
this music video. The wolf is used to show the abuser which is the
reason why I chose the wolf. The wolf has always been the predator
and will hunt down the prey who is the victim of domestic violence
in the relationship. The abuser has no gender but otherwise a
distinct personality of the wolf which strongly connects to the lyrics
of the song.
Deer Mask
The deer mask will be used to show the ones who are preyed upon in
domestic violence. The venerable ones like the deer who are the prey
in every situation. The lyrics of the song has a strong connection to the
wolves hunting down its prey “tearing” into them “without teeth”. This
represents how the wolf’s strength may be shown but when it comes to it
they don’t have any bite to them highlighting how domestic violence can
take control of someone.
Set
A bedroom will be needed for a distinctive scene
where either a male or female will be on the bed
as a deer stands in the corner of the room
highlighting how the person on the bed has been
victimised and the deer is there to symbolise that
this person has become the prey.
Another room will also be needed for the other
gender as the wolf stands in the room throwing objects as a guy sits in a chair with a deer
behind with hand on shoulder showing all the people who have been consumed by
domestic violence.
Forest will be needed in order to make the animal
nature scene. Wolves will chase the deer through here.
