Addressing the
Prompt:
Impact: Does the writer convey why this moment
was important to them? Do they attempt to
describe the situation so that readers can sense it's
importance?
40 pts
Organization Does the piece have elements of both plot (telling)
and narrative (reflecting)? Does the order that the
material is in make sense? Are there transitions,
linking words, or topic sentences that guide the
reader from one point to another? Is there a final
reflection, or "so what?" at the end?

MLA Formatting
Does the paper meet the length requirements (700
- 1,000) words? Does it follow standard formatting
of Times New Roman font, size 12, doublespaced,
1 inch margins? Is there an appropriate heading,
title, and pagination? Is the paper fairly free of
grammar and punctuation errors? 20 pts
