This paper proposes an improved energy-efficient routing algorithm for wireless sensor networks (WSNs) utilizing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) as mobile sinks, aimed at enhancing data collection in remote areas. The hybrid approach, named E2HUV, combines Dijkstra's and rendezvous planning algorithms to optimize energy consumption and coverage effectively. Experimental results indicate that the proposed E2HUV algorithm significantly outperforms existing options in energy efficiency and network longevity.
