- Thank you for watching. What comes on my mind when I watch this video is: the construction industry is being the least digitized worldwide. We’re still under paper process, walking around sites taking notes manually, coming back at office retyping and compiling everything, trying to read notes and losing time and energy. This lead me to my story
- My name is Tristan I am french, nobody is perfect. As I live in London are tend to improve myself. 2 years ago before joining FINALCAD I was an assistant project manager. We were building a 50 units building. At some point my boss asked me an accurate progress of the site. I realized I was not capable of giving him a precise answer. What he wanted was a global view of the operation to report to the client. It is hard to deny, that we have this bad reputation in the construction industry, we are late really often… What I could give him
- ..was excel spread sheets, excel spread sheets and annotated drawings. How could I communicate the right informations ? How can I be accurate without spending days on extracting all the informations from all the different tables and drawings ? Problem is how to plan the site correctly when you don’t have the right info at the right time ? Pause And you know what other problem will appear when we are facing issue with time? Money (penalties delay redo ect…) I bet you already experimented it yourself ? Sometimes, people are lucky to have internal systems however, rarely we see that they hardly save up to 1, 2 hours a day. Ergonomic design is always missing.
